Futaba 4PL Setup, Tips, Tricks & Help

Harley how do you get the variable rear to work? Since there is only 2 switches to use can I use both the rear steer and the rear rate?

Thanks
Kieren

I found a 'hack' to get front dig on a DT, but the problem is each time you dig you also reset the rate back to 100. Simply set a D/T to ESC rate and to 100 steps. From further trials it is actually easier to use the push button than the DT 'hack'

Alright short review

Pros
-Relativity easy to set up
-Manual is quite good
-Comfort is quite good
-Receiver comes bound

Negs
-The dual esc mixing part of the manual needs to mention the DT rate function.
-Receiver wire length (I'm hoping I can coil it inside the case but I'm not betting on it)
-Receiver size, yes I know every radio I get a whinge that the receivers are too big, but after getting used to spektrum parkflyer RX everything is too big:ror:

Oh and the push button dig isn't that hard to use, I can push it twice just as quick as I could move an ordinary toggle.

All up definitely a nice radio for those that don't want to spend half their budget on a radio alone. For me it does everything a rock crawling radio should and plenty more.

Also I got mine from dinball/rcmart and their 'standard' shipping was VERY quick for shipping from HK.

So your "hack" is using one DT set for 100% steps for dig, and another DT at 10% for bias control?

Yeah but the problem is setting it too 100 it resets the percentage each time your dig. Also if you click it twice in the one direction you can get some funny things happening, I'd still recommend just clicking the push button twice.

So you mean if you are running at say 90/100 and the dig with the DT when you get back into 4wd you will be 100/100 ?
