I recently purchased a Old Original Stock Clod with a Futaba MC 112B ESC.
Does anyone know how to set this thing up?

Futaba's site doesnt show the setup from what I found.
Lastly will it handle 2 motors?

Thanks :)

The MC112b is an old ESC. Futuba has discontinued it according to their site.

The only way it'll handle two 27 turn motors is if you wire the motors in series...OR you could run two 55 turn lathe motors in parallel. :mregreen:

It has neutral and high point adjustment pots to adjust the esc. I think it was programmed as follows:

1. Hook up your car battery (plug it into the esc) and turn on your transmitter and receiver. Do not hook up the motor.

2. With the throttle at neutral the light should be flashing. Adjust the neutral pot until the light turns out.

3. Now apply full throttle and the light should start flashing again. Adjust the high point pot until the light stops flashing and becomes solid.

4. You do not have to adjust reverse - it is set automatically (the light will flash slowly when reverse is applied).

5. Elevate the car off the ground, attach the motor and check its operation.

Also, I don't think this esc had a reverse delay so be careful when going from one direction to the other - you could damage gears.

The resolution and response on these ESC isn't all that great compared to the Super Rooster and if you're going to be installing high torque servos you'll need to run a RX pack.

Thanks man :)

I will use the directions you listed and see how things go.
This clod is going back completely stock, Took the truck mostly aort today except for the axles which will be done sometime this week.
Probably 10 years of dust on this thing.

Still wondering why this person installed a S148 to steer all 4 tires hehe.

Heh perfect timing, I just got the truck back together. Wasnt able to spend alot of time with it.

I never could get the Light to flash at all. It does get dimmer and go out eventually.

Basiclly I modofied the steps you listed alittle.

1. Hook up your car battery (plug it into the esc) and turn on your transmitter and receiver. Do not hook up the motor.

2. Turned Both Pots to the far left

3. With the throttle at neutral the light was steady on. I Adjusted the neutral pot until the light turns out.

3. Now apply full throttle , I Adjusted the high point pot until the light Turned Bright Amber

4. You do not have to adjust reverse - it is set automatically .( NO Lights when Reverse is applied. )

5. Elevate the car off the ground, attach the motor and check its operation.

Seams to be operating fairly well with the low charge battery in it. Going to charge one and see how it does.

THanks for the Help :)
