since most of you seem to be good with electronics & stuff i figured i would ask if anybody knew how to make a gate opener controller. i am building an automatic opening gate but cant figure out the electronics part.
i have seen some good links to other websites so if you got one let me have it will ya!!

i am using a 12v ram with 12" stroke!!<<ya, i said 12" stroke!!
i thought about using one of my nylint controllors but the batteries & stuff would be a pain, plus i would have to use relays to make it strong enough for the 12v ram.
so, any ideas?? i will mount a switch at entrance & another inside fence.
i would like a timer also so once my truck is in, the gate would close!
can it be done??

thanks for any help.

thanx for the link.
i am kinda goin for the really low budget homemade device though. under 50 or 60 bucks.
maybe use some 3 way switches or run it off my computer.
i dont know if it can be done, but i was thinking maybey the remote 110v thing i have seen for like $20 hooked to a transformer with some gate activated switches.
or a computer hookup with a program to auto close after 15 seconds or something.
i think it would work & that i could build it if i had an idea on how to make it.
