Getting more flex out of the sawback

I am using 100mm shocks front and rear. The Hot Racing ones in the rear are actually 100mm eye-to-eye so they are a little longer than the RCWD40 ones in the front that are100mm end-to-end.

I am using Shooter shackles front and rear. Also (was) using RCWD40 Red Soft leafs and getting great travel!

Unfortunately the front red springs both snapped in the same place at almost the same time today during some mild rock crawling. So they are flexy sexy but I do not recommend them.

That's what I thought. Just wanted to make sure since the stock shocks also have springs.
I've just installed a set on my Sawback, pretty pleased with the result. The SCX10 shocks are a few millimeters longer at their longest and a few shorter at their shortest than the originals. I cut the rubber stops on the shafts in half, giving a little more downstroke.
The springs in the stock shocks don't seem to do much except make the truck very bouncy.
