So I have my website and email through them and as of late, it has been sucking. Sometimes it takes 3 days for emails to show up in my inbox, constantly getting "failure notice" when trying to send emails that have any attachments, and does not save a copy of sent emails to my sent file. Does anyone know if GoDaddy has changed some settings that I did not notice or have an idea on how to fix this?

I use premium hosting through freewebs. Things have been really good as far as managing the site goes.
I know of a few who switched from GDDY. because of poor performance.

Yeah my domain is godaddy, but my website is through freewebs.
I had issues through go daddy. But I do know they have people there pretty much all the time that can help. Ohh and they speak english too,lo.

Problem I have ran into is they do not want to help....they want to up-sell.

How many MB for storing and how many mailboxes do you need? I have a veery good hosting tip.

I have my site with GoDaddy, but I let Gmail do all my email.

If you dont want the @gmail.com addy Google has what they call partner pages and you can get gmail accounts with your domain name. Google servers handle the work.

I have mine through godady also. They have so far been help full with the problems we have had. It was mostly initial set up stuff for the site though. It is our first time build one buy our self.

I have hosting and domains through GoDaddy, and it sucks balls. I am looking into other hosting services right now. They're just so incredibly slow and very awkward to deal with when changing anything on my site or uploading content.

we use godaddy for our hosting and have problem after problem. as stated above, if you call in, they just want to sell you more crap.

My domain is through GoDaddy but can't remember who it is that hosts it off the top of my head. I know we had issues with GoDaddy as well.

Our business email is through Google Apps (gmail) which retains your domain name. We have put many clients on the Google services and all have been happy.

I am a web developer, and have delt with godaddy before when clients have used them. There was always issues, from slow servers and email problems to awful confusing control panels. The hosting may be cheap, but there are definitely better cheap hosting companies out there. The only good experience I had with them was buying a SSL certificate, and even then it was still bad. I personally have been with Dreamhost (for hosting) for the last 3 years, and recommend it to all my clients and students.

Dropped GoDaddy years ago because of the same problems mentioned here.

Not trying to plug another hoster but 1and1.com has been flawless with me for the past 6 years Ive been using them. Ive had 4 sites hosted through them and not once a problem.
