got my first 2.4 Ghz radio!

I'm not neccessarily a NEWB, but I have always ran my stock radios from RTR kits and never owned a 2.4 GHz radio until today.

Wow. Everything seems to run way smoother and even the response to the controls feels more crisp.

If anyone out there hasn't upgraded yet, or is thinking about upgrading in the near future, I highly recommend doing so.

welcome to 2.4, i've been running it for about 2-3 years now, and your right once you switch over its amazing.

I am hoping it will fix the "twitching" in my rigs too. It's hard to be in a real technical spot and have your rig wig out. I could leave the antenna poking through the body, but that kind of ruins the look of a scaler :evil:

at least that's how it's goiing so far.

I bought the tower hobbies 2 channel for my scx10 and my hpi mt2 nitro.
I went ahead and got two systems instead of one controller and two receivers because my nephews both like to drive my cars and maybe they'll wanna drive at the same time.

The MT2 was real bad with "twitching" and for a nitro with a servo controlled carburetor, that's a VERY bad thing.:lmao:

Its kind of like finding a different side of the hobby, isn't it?

One of the best things about 2.4Ghz is being able to have a large get-together, like the one in the pictured below, and no one having to worry about frequency interference:

the truck is SOOOOOO much smoother and precise, and I only traded for a traxxas 2.4.

I had problems whith my vehicle twitching also, so I switched to a spectrum radio and that fixed the problem. And no need to switch out crystals.

I bought a spektrum DX3e for a 100 bucks... Good deal came with a good rx and a servo.Great Deal....

I had forgotten how bad the RTR radios tend to be until my wife bought me a Honcho for Christmas and I took it for a spin.
The first upgrade I made to that truck was to drop in a Spektrum receiver and bind it to my radio. Made a world of difference in the smoothness and response. Feels like a whole new truck.
