Grand Junction Winter/Spring Series

Austin, make sure to post up directions for the comp at your place. Should be easy enough since you have a physical address you can put into google maps.

so who wants directions?

Who wants to know how a losi is gonna whoop all you bergs and axials? :flipoff:

Who wants to have a comp 2-5mins of walking from parking area (similar to 27.25 rd) or 10-30 minutes of walking (about 10x of 27.25 rd)

Oh for those that don't know...No entry fees are charged unless you are not a member/helped pay insurance. Unless we are on blm non-member fees will be charged...our next comp (march 12th) at my house is private land, so if you haven't done so yet you need to pay andy @ high desert $25 to be a gvcc member. It is to pay for our insurance, then towards trophies, were still short on insurance last i checked.

To help the walking decision.....remember if it's close to his house he's ran a few packs on it. It'll be worth the walk. Austin, remeber not everyone has internet os send out a blast text if you would."thumbsup"

I will

I have alot more than a few packs right next to my house, but i was down there again here a few days ago and the creek wiped out alot of the stuff. But all the lines down there are challenging lines, as for driver, i can drive Annabelles axial trough the courses, so they are more of a drivers course, so we should all finish, its just who can pick the better lines to get less penalties and faster time.

I have ran a few packs a few days ago out back too, and been moving rocks making lines possible...that were impossible for my crawler, yet looked possible...not course for low bellies or a light front end, but i think were all use to that:flipoff:garry I promise i'll have at least a pack on each rock out back too.

I'll try and go out soon and get some pics...show everyone the terrain i have.

But i'll only have a few days of practice on my new axles so alot of it may be fair game as my losi will react differently...i should have more speed, torque, and climbing ability, but thats just theory. Hopefully by next comp i'll be finishing up my wheels and knuckle weights, i'll have alot more stability too. Hopefully do better than what this picture shows, all in time though"thumbsup"

Fixed:flipoff:

you can't be designing courses around a specific chassis:flipoff: there are people than run something other than the t1e, or other. Its ok though, by the april comp, hoepfully, i'll have some counter measures. Then by the fall season i'll be running moa chassis

well here is some basic one...

Starting in palisade,, cross the river, follow the highway to 38 3/4 rd, take a right

turn right up the hill

follow that road, at end of pavement turn left

follow this road, it will take a 90 turn then straight, take your first left up the hill, this intersection is huge because semis run in and out of here everyday.

Follow this road till you come to a Y, you will want to go left up the hill

once on top you'll be at my house, there will be a huge clearing to your right cut into the hill... park in this clearing somewhere, i suggest to the far back/east closest to the grand mesa at the edge of the hill. Don't park right in the middle as semis come in and out, and unless you need to don't drive around the house...we have lots extension cords running across the road for tank heaters, we try to keep off of them...

Oh there are 2 Dobermans that live here, but they won't hurt you, if they start snarling at you their just smiling. One is big black fat, shes real lazy, the other is a smaller built red doberman with cropped ears, more playfull, most likely be the one to greet you. and theres plenty of live stock, so chances are you'll be smellin them too.

From palisade your looking at 10-20 minutes

My phone number is 970-261-2007 gimme a call if you get lost.

2-5 minutes gets my vote, by the house is just fine. If you've run the course a hundred times Karma will get ya.

Yea we just drop down a hill down into the creek bed, real close, out back we'd have to walk down through the draw, up and down another hill, then 100 yards or so to the rocks....supers may have to go back there though if super comps are still happening. theres limited courses (like 5 max unless we overlap them) right next to my house perfect 2.2 courses though. But only a few supers so we could probably, maybe, load it all up in one truck and head out to the back. We can't all drive back there though because my step dad doesn't want everyone too.

for those wondering, this rain so far hasn't hurt us, its all sand down there and its just a touch damp...but we may have some water in the creek if we get too much snow melt and overflows into the creek...but i highly doubt it.

weathers looking good through sunday, i'm coming down for sure, those still the best directions..? if i get off at palisade exit at i-70. do i go straight and cross the river on that road? or turn left on the highway #? next to the rail road tracks? then right on 38 3/4, is that what you meant by turn on hwy?

From the Palisade exit you'll need to stay on old Hwy 6. Don't go right. 38 3/4 will be on the South side of the road.
