greyhound beheading.

I will also say..."Shaun Syndrome"...talking about it on a forum what you'd do is totally different than what you'd do if it would happen.

In know my first reaction would be to protect my family and get them moved. They are more important to me than a stranger, thats a true fact.

Why do you always bring stupid shit up? Did I say if I was on that bus I would have done something? I said "I can't believe the people on the bus though, why the hell would you run if all the guy had was a knife"

Seriously, stop being a c*unt.

You stated in your own words "If a guy has a knife I wouldn't run".

In reality, why would you NOT run when you seen a crazy man attack with a knife?

Obviously you believe your fists are stronger than a crazy person weilding a knife. Have fun with that.

I'm not sure where you read that at.

BTW, I would use my fist, I carry a KA-Bar TDI "large version" on my waist, and the small KA-Bar TDI on an ankle rig.

Would you pull the big one and say "That's not a knife. THIS is a knife" in your best Crocodile Dundee voice?

binary, it'd be pretty simple if my family happened to be on the bus.

My wife would handle moving the kids to safety. It doesn't take two people to move the kids away from a threat.

And believe it or not there are people that would act instead of running.

Hey look we agree, easier to type what you'd do that in that exact moment.
I was in a situation where I was caught between a woman with a butcher knife and her husband. I know what I did in that situation. Couldn't tell you what I'd do in this situation though..... unless I was actually there;-)

I'm still waiting for you to show me the post where I said. "If a guy has a knife I wouldn't run". You told me that those were my exact words, yet I can't find anything close to it. I have looked through all my post in the last year, and cannot find it.

I think we can all agree that none of us knows exactly what we would do in that situation.

Very nice knives."thumbsup"

Thanks, I like 'em.

Something like that :)

LMFAO!!! Best post in the thread.

Are you guys that are posting really that suprised?? There's absolutely nothing that suprises me any more when it comes to "things people will do". The same shit happens here (& all over the world) every day....

I would just wait for my government appointed public transportation safety enforcement officer to call his superior and get permission to ask the assailant to please stop.

That way we wouldn't be violating his human rights, inflicting physical violence, or endangering the poor mentally unstable individual.

Yet another time a citizen with a gun could have saved a life and taken one! They should dismember this guy part by part on a table till he is just a torso and a head, lock him in a cell with the Back Street Boys playing over and over for life! Sick fawk!

What does the law say about killing someone when you are not in direct danger? If I was there and shot this guy because he was wielding a knife, or even after he stabbed the kid the first time. Will I go to jail? Will I get sued if he doesnt die?

You would think human nature would cause those people to help the boy. Ultimatlly he got on a bus full of vagina's. When presented with an intense situation some people fight threw, other run away. Think about the last time you scared someone, did they cower and scream or did they draw back as to knock the shit out of you? I always draw back but most will turn and scream.

I would bet the people who did nothing feel pretty bad when they go to the court hearings and see the mother of the man they did nothing to help. Poor guy was just sleeping when it happened.

I could care less if he goes to prison or an institution (the guy obviously needs a lot of help), but releasing him into the public at any point would just be irresponsible.

I live a couple hours south of Winnipeg. My heart goes out to the family, what a horrible tragedy.

You told me that those were my exact words

I'll wait for you to find where I said you used those exact words.

You stated in your own words "If a guy has a knife I wouldn't run".

The phrase I made is used in common english text to say that I did not use your exact words, but a paraphrase of your words, hence me not quoting you. See my statement was stated in my words...you used your own words to say the same thing.

why the hell would you run if all the guy had was a knife.

You did however say that since he only had a knife that those people shouldn't have run.

I disagree, I think you'll find most when in this exact situation would choose to run over fight. Many of these people were likely sleeping and startled by the sound and in the panic people do tend to run...thats part of fight or flight.

That assumes your wife is there. What if it was just you and one child, or more children. My point is we don't know everyone's situation on the bus, nor their training that I know you and your wife have that would help in a situation like this.
