It might be a little early to get this up but what the heck.

The GVCC that's the Grand Valley Crawling Club, in laymans terms the guys in Grand Junction that do the crawler stuff, have a web site now at this address, it's still under construction so don't expect much :? .

The final Comp of the season will be on October 10th at 9:00am. Just a heads up for those that don't know if it's wet don't drive into the bentonite site. Bentonite is a type of clay and trust me you don't want it on your vehicle. Not to mention there's a good chance you won't get back out without assistance.

Also insurance and club membership are required to compete. The BLM says so, so don't come expecting you don't need to pay for the insurance it isn't optional and wet willies will be issued as you are sent down the road. "thumbsup"

Here are directions.

Directions to Little Park Road Bentonite Site

From I:70 take the Horizon Dr ramp and head south.
Follow Horizon Dr to 12th St and head south.
Head south on 12th St to Grand Ave. (you will pass Patterson Ave first, then North Ave, If you get to Ute or Pitkin, you went too far)
Head West along Grand Ave (hwy 340) You will cross two bridges.
Make a left at Monument Rd.
Make a left at D Rd.
Continue on D Rd which turns into Rosevale Rd and you will be heading south.
Head south all the way to the end and where Rosevale turns into Little Park Rd.
Reset your odometer here and follow Little Park Rd for 3.8 miles.

3.8 miles up little park road on the right side is the Bentonite Site, there is a blm sign identifying it.

This is a map to bangs canyon to get to the bentonite site follow the same map just turn right when you get to the bentonite site instead of driving the last 1.9 miles to Bangs Canyon: Map to Bangs Canyon

The big show is tomorrow morning, can't hardly wait."thumbsup"

Make sure your 2.2 is in spec, there's been some questions about peoples wheelbases, and they'll likely check them tomorrow.
