hanjin-san's Jeep Comanche truggy

Thanks for all your comments

That Jig is a great idea too! Consider making/selling those?

It isn't intended, sorry ;-)

I wish I had a fraction of your capability to hand make those scale parts and especially the cage and bumper work

It's all about practice and motivation ;-) But in my case, this is what I'm doing in my everyday's job, it helps

Only advice...now that you're on the forum...bring us along for the next build. Seeing this build unfold in one post is like having all the fireworks going off in the first nine seconds! It needs to last longer! 8)

Of course there is no suspense here with this build because at this time, all is already done.
But I take note for future projects "thumbsup"

Holy crap! The metal work on this rig is some of the most intricate and detailed I've seen. Can I ask what solder/brazing rods and torch setup you're using? About to start some work of my own, and aspire for quality parts like you have here.

Thanks a ton for the info. I actually ordered some Safety Silv 45 and 56 to play with, but doubt I've got the eye for metal work like yours. Very good looking rig, and hoping to see more in the future!

Hi everyone,

It's been a long time since I posted anything here but the Comanche had some improvements.

First, I decided to change the ugly stock axle housings by the one made by SSD and change the front 4 links by a Panhard system. Knuckle, c-hubs and driveshafts have also been upgraded.
So, I've made some new homemade parts, links, Panhard and servo mounts:

Axial c-hubs, knuckles ans CVD:

Second step, for the realism, I decided to install a Proline interior with a driver.
I chose "Peeta" from The Hunger games made by Neca:

With a bit of paint and some patience, a new t-shirt for Peeta:

The interior has simply be painted in grey and I added some touch of black and the Proline stickers for the details:

Thanks for watching
