Hardcore Sami

Made a few changes:
- Cut the fenders, rear bumpers, trimmed the front, rocker panels and lowered the entire body a few mm, not sure about the look, but that's what hardcore Samis are about :)
- swapped the shock oil from 30 to 15WT, still feel the rear is a bit stiff and high but I'd rather test it first
- extended the 4 rear links 5 mm with longer rod ends

Thanks,

Any experience with water or sand using the Revolver? That was the main concern I had (I miss the speeda little bit too :) it handled so well for such a small setup)

I don't run in the wet - but mine has been run plenty in a very dry and dusty environment - the outside of the motor is the only part of the rig that remained dust-free, as it's spinning like mad all the time!

Around here we refer to what I run in as "moon-dust" - it's mostly crushed limestone.

After a session, I spray the motor out with compressed air.

I haven't re-lubed my bearings yet.

Any info on the lengths for upper and lower links? I bought one of these chassis back
Around Christmas.

9.8 WB, measured eye to eye:
• front lower links (2): 95 mm - 3,75"
• front upper links (2): 95 mm - 3,75"
• rear lower links (2): 95 mm - 3,75"
• rear upper links (2): 90 mm - 3,5"

Some updates

I designed a new chassis. I wanted to try carbon fibre this time which saved around 25 grams.

I replaced the stock SCX10ii servo/battery flimsy battery mount with an interlocked plate: saves more weight, it's very stiff.

I changed the geometry too, layed down the shocks more, added a few mm of clearance.

Other changes:
- front and rear lower bent links
- removed the rear anti-sway bar
- 60wt shock oil, Losi Mini T pink (front) and red (rear)
- custom comp front bumper (it's a bit too heavy for my taste)
- High Altitude Performance forward motor mounts (saves some weight compared to the VP mount)

I can see some progress, for a SWB setup, climbing or downhilling is much better.

What's next:
- I'm going to test 100% droop
- Move the battery to the passenger side side plate

With the HH Revolver, I get around 50-60 minutes of run time with a 2200mAH 3S battery, I'm very tempted to try 1100mAh lipos now.
