I have been looking around ar options for adding headlights onto the trucks, and came across these.
12V CAR Motorcycle LED Eagle EYE Daytime Runningtail Light Lamp White Light | eBay

I hsve a few of these already i bought for another project, but i was wondering if anyone has used them before? they are quite cheap, and very bright!

i havent built my truck yet, (G6 scx10) and was intending on painting it black, so the rigns on the lights would blend nicely, but was looking for opinions...

lights around a 15m area. nice n bright. even just the two headlights, at 3w each are bright for general purpose crawling. my RC club tend to do a lot of night crawling, so light is pretty important.

Only the brass strip across the light bar. Otherwise no. They get a little warm but so far they've done about 4-5 hours total play and no blown ones yet. I run two in series straight off the receiver/bec. And then all pairs in parallel obviously. Seems to work ok so far "thumbsup"

ok.

My kit has turned up, and I placed one of the led lights behind the moulding in the shell, and it's an almost perfect fit behind there. Just need to determine the best way to mount them, wether I mount them to the provided light buckets and stick them on, or if I custom up something...

I also considered just drilling the hole through the middle of the lens in the shell, and mounting them as per intended, but that's not going to look right I dont think....

Got some headlights going tonight

total cost... about $5 :)

now to figure out how to get them to turn on and off via my controller. Just temporaily mounted for now, but will either hot glue or double stick tape the buckets and tidy the wiring shortly.
