Headphone listeners

its hard to go back to the house stereo after using these.

I know that feeling. But after a short bit, I very much appreciate the ability of the speakers to fill the room with sound, and the way they vibrate the air and me feeling that.

:lmao:

But seriously, feeling music is amazing. I never understood sound quality until I saw a symphony live in a concert hall. "thumbsup"

i wanted a set of beats, but couldn't will myself to spend $300 for the good ones. so i picked up a brand new set of skullcandy hesh 2's on ebay for cheap. for my first set of headphones, i am very impressed. they play dubstep nice, a fair amount of base, rock is awesome, and the other stuff is good too."thumbsup"

As a freshman in college I took a couple classes that had required us to attend a few jazz shows and a few symphonies. That was right around the time I started to lose interest in car stereos and started buying home stereo stuff. It's all tied in together somehow.

I was a huge stereo nerd, I mean Audiophile, not too long ago. I have a VPI record player that cost about three times the amount of the expensive comp trucks, used decent ancillary equipment and all that including home built 2A3 tubed monoblocks, a SACD player, and what have you. Cables costing more than I would admit. I've also owned Grado SR60 headphones since 1994 and used them for so many hours I couldn't even begin to imagine. The Grado SR60s are world independant reviews renowned for being great sounding, but from more of the bang for the buck approach. I've enjoyed them immensely, no doubt. If you have $75 to spend on music, you will enjoy them no question, no matter what.

Since computer Hi-Fi is finally a reality and headphones are more conducive to my environment right now, I'm searching for the next level, actually, more like a purchase that I'd be happy with for the next who knows how many years. Price is irrelevant, but the +$1000k headphones might be a tad overkill. But I've looked at Grado's RS line, 325i and of course Sennheiser 650s and even AKG 701 or 702s.

You guys do any headphone listening?
hello It is worth to spend $75 if you are pretty good with income. For me I am just coping with my old stuff.

Did you sign up to ask this?

If you want to spend $75 on headphones, then the SR-60 is a good choice. If you have more to spend then there are other choices, of course. Sky's the limit.

I need to get my son a set of eat bids and was wondering what you guys would recommend. I was looking at the Dre Beats but I am not sure if I am paying for the name or quality.

Eat bids. :ror:

Do NOT BUY DRE BEATS! They are the most over priced headphones one could buy. Seriously. You are correct assuming you're paying for the name because you sure as shit ain't paying for the quality.

That said, is he a bass head or rocking out to rock and roll type, or other?

Does he want ear buds (like iPods come with) or in the ear or on the ear or over the ear? Portable or stay at home stuff? Used with an iPod?

But they come in a bunch of stylish colors! You can't tell me that 40 million Tweens are wrong about what accessory the put on their head...I mean, choice of headphones. Wait, which one are they again?

First UFC championship girl fight was last night and she was wearing them after she won! She put them around her neck before they raised her hand. Actually, I think they were Monster brand. If you didn't know Monster used to make Beats until recently. Same shit. Over priced hype crap.

What wires!? So stupid!

Portable for his IPod, and wants the ones that go in his ears ( my auto correct changed ear buds to eat bids for some reason lol). He listens to alot of rock but likes bass stuff also.

well, been using these superlux headphones for a few months now. have to say that they are still insanely comfortable, sound great, and are holding up very well. the highs have mellowed out a bit (good thing) and the cord unplugging issue that i thought may spring up hasn't. that little clip works. so far there are really no negatives to say other than they are not very portable. other than that, great set of headphones for a great price.

Alright guys...need some advice. Looking for a new set of over the ear headphones. I want to spend about $150 but dont mind more if its worth it. I listen to mainly hip-hop and rap and love my bass. I fell victim to the Dre Beats Studios, and they were alright, but obviously not worth the $300. I found myself listening to my Denon ear buds more often. Which btw Ive had them for 4 years now and they are still absolutely awesome! Ive had to glue them back together a couple times but they still sound like new! Well worth the money and Ive gotten my money's worth out of em. But I miss the over the ear. So what should I get? Ive heard the ATH M50's and while they sound great, I am looking for more low end. I NEED heavy bass. Im not always at home to listen to my Klipsch home system or in the car to listen to the stereo, so I need something as pleasing. HELP!

Anyone dabbling into the Bluetooth headphones?

I bought a set of LG tones for our trip to the AZ summer shootout. The quality was great. However my original intention was to sync them up to the DVD deck we had. However the deck required you to enter a pass code 0000 and I of course couldn't. I had about 22 hours to figure it out and never found a back door.

I was going to keep them and use them around the house etc.. But, once I started wearing the, while moving the neck piece would flop around and I decided to return them.

Ideally I'm looking for an ear bud unit. Something comfortable to fall asleep with on. Any suggestions?
