So I know it's not a rs10 but there is no other redact sections here to post and others keep giving me flack about my rig. Anyway please don't get on me for posting here as us redcat fans need to stick together and help each other.
Anyway I have a very heavily modified rockslide super crawler. I have spent over $1800 on this rig so far and still am needing

better servos, bec, winch and that's about it. I bought every upgrade from redcat possible for this unit plus many custom extras. And enought lipo power to run for 16 hrs straight.

thanks for sharing the pictures.
my buddy was going to get the metal axle tubes and cases etc., and after pricing everything he
sold it and bought some super bully axles. i have to say though it looks pretty neat in metal, specially
the chassis sides. how much does it weigh? are those metal wheels too?
16 hours????? what you got? 2 x 4s 20000ma batteries? haha

does your crawler roll over much? it seems the center of gravity is a bit on the high side
will be waiting for more pictures

for grins look up the killer krawler from rc4wd. it looks very similar to the super rockslide (or vice versa)

I don't know much about the Super Crawler but it doesn't look like there is a lot of stock RedCat left on that rig. How much does that thing weigh? How long is it? Looks huge.

Hey thnx for the views.
I'd have to day is at least 20 pounds and is a very solid feeling unit.
And no those wheels are stock as there are no options for rims or tires for this unit which pisses me off as I cannot complete this unit with better wheels and rims. I'm hunting around for someone who can make me some aluminum ones custom fit and that will allow me to buy other tires so they are pretty much the only stock items left. They motors are stock cuz I like the low speed torque of a 100turn motor and the servos are as well but I'm gonna order some 500oz servos when I got some spare cash. And I run this unit on duel 2s 25c 5000mah venom lipos. I get 4 hrs run time with two lipos on and I have four sets for a total of 16 hrs of straight run time. And the weight is fairly well spread out I have some front end weighs as well and it don't roll too much at all. Only reason my lipos sit like that is cuz the ESC wires are too short to go much farther so I'm gonna cut them and put longer wires on and the I can can stick my lipos any where I want for weight. And I'll measure it later and weight it as it is a very big unit. And very long with a great reach over the top rock ability.

Thanks for the info. I almost went with a 5th scale crawler for my first rig...but there are few parts to fit giant rigs and my terrain is not like the Rocky Mountains here...so 1/10 is more in scale with my crawling territory and more fun more me. But I do like big rigs (and Big Batts lol).

Lol. Yeah me too not much for rocks here but definetly a good rc to bash around with

check out .integy.com they have a selection of 4.0 wheels with and without tires.
there are several other makers of 4.0 wheels sometimes known as 3.8. mainly rc4wd
if you can find a set of xtm crawler wheels they would be nice and a bit cheaper
they are also 24mm hex but they use a 3.2 tire
there is a big selection of tires from several sources proline, imex, traxxas, rc4wd, etc...

Nice Rig, I like the idea of giant crawlers.

Might be in my future.

Thanks man put a lot of time and money into this unit. And if one of these is in your future be prepared for a lot of upgrades spending and maintenance upkeep as this crawler is very fun and solid but factory is ok and to get it running well and crawling strong you need to spend quite a bit of money but when it's done wow. That's if you buy the redcat version as I'm sure there are better name brands out there that sell similar crawlers

Venom, Hello there. Awesome ride my friend. I just purchased mine brand new yesterday and am already making upgrades. I was curious, as I read your post in another part of this forum, what option did you go with for switching out your spur gear drives for the limited differentials instead, I do not want to ruin the teeth of the spurs and keep replacing. I want to just change out right away and save the future trouble, thanks so much buddy."thumbsup"

Hi sorry for late reply have not been on in a while
But as for the teeth yes I kept snapping the spur gear shaft all the time and very easily too so I went with the limited slip diffs and they where nicer for the lack of down time but turned out to be garbage in the traction department one wheel would always slip too much and leave you un happy with results so I took them apart and filled the diff case with JB weld let it dry for two days and then took out my crawler and the slip was gone and I wasn't tearing down my rc every day to replace parts. I also left the stock motors on as they have an insane amount of torque as you cannot find 100 turn motors anywhere these days sure they slow but it's called a crawler I really like the torque and lack of speed as I can go where none of my rc buddy's can and am towing them up everywhere I have almost $3000 into this unit and am very happy with how solid I've made this unit.
And you will spend a lot of time tuning things and I'm pretty sure that's due to it being a Redcat but still fun.
I also have it running on a 4s Lipo system running duel 2s 75c lipos
Which is a lot of power and about 4 hrs of fun time
The esc I use is a traxxas evx-2
