Just rec'd my RC4WD tough armor front and rear bumpers. they're super heavy!!
I run a mostly stock dingo, and mounting some TSL Super Swampers. Do i still need to add weight to the wheels?
I know adding wheel weights actually lowers the cg, but concerned about adding too much.

BTW - my front bumper is the winch bumper and welds are kinda off.:x my winch sits lower on the motor side than other side. is this normal quality i should expect? Paid $35 for bumper, kinda expect better looks.

I run a stock ish honcho with swampers, and have just ordered the same bumper! Also have the tsl super swampers . My wheels have 4oz in each. A lot of people run a lot more. Try it. You can always take the weight out. But i think you'll prefer it.

I run cromoly(steel alloy) bumpers on all my rigs and still weight the wheels with a full wrap of stick on weights roughly 3.5oz. As far as the RC4WD bumpers go, I could see their stuff not being totally correct. Quality fabricators take their time and make sure it's done right. That's how I build my stuff anyway.

Sprung vs unsprung weight are very different animals. I too still prefer weighted wheels than weight attached to the chassis. Although more weight period seems to make some rigs act more scale to a certain point imo.

Still can't braze my stuff perfectly square lol. But it seems a company with jigs and whatnot should be able to accomplish some repeatability

thx for opinions! I'll try some weight to start off with.
can't wait to try these tires, they look angry-mean!
kind of bummer to lose all my bumper lights with new bumpers though. I'll probably make a new post to see what I should do with them, given new bumpers don't have holes for lights.
thanks again
