I broke the rear driveshaft on my TLT-1 the other day so I'm going to start my stretch. I'm using MGT turnbuckles as the suspension links and it looks like a dogbone aproximately 100 mm long will work. Has anyone come across one this length? I can use one slightly longer, the ends on the turnbuckles are threaded all the way in right now so there's room to play.

you can make one by cutting a old dogbone in half and then brazing it together with some pipe between the two dogbone halfs but if you are going to strech it just buy stampede driveshafts

i would get a set of sliders. I started with dogbone, they were noisy, had to much play in them and the drive cups started to wear a grove in the shafts. I just got some Traxxis sliders and I love them. The are quiet and you don't have to worry and them falling out or being to tight to where they bottom out. You do have to do a little fabrication to use them but it's well worth it.

Did you switch to the pede tranny or were you able to make te sliders work with the stock TLT-1 tranny? Do you have any pictures of your conversion?

not sure if it will work on the stock tranny but if you have a pede tranny it will work no probablem unless you stretch your truck to much then all you have to do is cut the little u joint thingy off the one of the male ends and stick it into two female ends with one female end going to the tranny and one to the axle

Scruff when I click on your link the pictures won't come up. I'm very interested in how you did your conversion. Do you have any more pictures you can post.

Hotrod how long is that dogbone?:? .

just about 100mm. i use them all the time. here is a standard dogbone vs. the large one i use. as you can see it is much meatier, i mocked it up in the sw2 im building, looks like it should fit my wb is about 12.5 inches.
