Help in choosing the Li-Po batteries

Hello!!
I need your help in choosing the Li-Po batteries for my crawler
I have axial scorpion with the following hardware:
Snow Panther Tuned Machine Modified 540 Brushed Motor 35T w/ 1 Pair Brush SN/TM-6035
CYS Digital Titanium Gear Servo 0.10s @ 7.4V 15Kg CYS-S2215
axial AE-5 ESC
(Servo is temporary, I will buy in the future Savox SA-1231SG + castle creations BEC)
I want 3S Li-Po batteries for power and long playing time
I ask you recommendations for reliable quality charger and batteries

I would like to hear what you have to say about the system and tips .. :)

well i cant recommend any brands for lipo because i only have a loaner from a friend till i can buy my new ones but i can give you a idea of the battery size you would want as i dont know how you are on the throttle

if this was my setup id go with a 3s 4000mah or higher 40c or higher lipo but nothing lower

as for a charger i just bought a onyx 245 dual lipo charger and love it but there are many brands out there that are good
 
I've used a lot of duratrax onyx lipos with a lot of success. They are consistent. I have a few venom batteries. I don't like them at all. Turnigys have been hit and miss for me

I do not have to charge 2 batteries
And most of duratrax onyx batteries are 35C it right?

I've had good luck with hobbyking's turnigy nano tech batteries.
I use the Hobbyking eco6-10 charger. I imagine there are better chargers. But it works for me and it's $35 I think.
 
How charger Turnigy Accucell-6?
It will fit batteries 3s 5000mah I buy?
I am debating between Turnigy batteries or duratrax onyx ...
 
I use the Turnigy Accucell 6 charger and it's fine. The fan makes a soft noise that isn't problematic.
The power limits are a bit of a constraint when handling bigger batteries, especially when discharging a battery that got charged but not used for running...

As for specific battery I just use HobbyKing's LiPo finder to get a battery that fit the battery compartment and any other requirements I have. Brand is of no concern, just no "B-grade" batteries.
 
Go to onyx Web site and look at there chargers and also hitec they both make good reliable multi chemistry chargers. They also both make single battery chargers. Get a good (not best or most expensive) quality charger, And an ammo box to charge in. I have small kids I can lock ammo box keeps them out while safely charging.
 
I like hitec chargers. Although I bought a duratrax 150 I think, it was for pit charging at races. It has balanced well and caused no major issues. It is super friggin basic though. Buy a good charger, as you use it a lot.
 
I use turnigy nano tech Lipos 5000 3s 35-70c on my mean machine boat and in my wraith and yeti, . They outlasted 3 very expensive hard pacs. I also use the onyx dual chager. . Alot of the battery life all comes down to how you take care of them and store them. I try and bring all mt batteries down to 40% when storing them.
 
They are $ 43.53 at hobby king make sure you buy it from the us warehouse if you choose HK otherwise you will be waiting for a very long time.
 
Care and feeding make a huge difference in life. Choosing a battery that has a large enough capacity and high enough discharge rate to feed the power plant is the first step. Too small a batt will get pounded hard by a high draw power plant and that causes the voltage to drop then bounce back up. Voltage drop below 3.2 kills the cell. A bigger pack has more "cushion" and fluctuates less and that stresses the cells less so they last longer. Trying to get too much juice from a low C rated batt will create a lot of internal resistance. This creates heat and that screws up the chemistry in the cell so it no longer will take, hold, or supply maximum power. You'll know if you screwed up a Lipo because it puffs up like a balloon.

To get the longest life I suggest balance charging at 1/2 the maximum amps the batt is rated to take. Charging is hard on batteries. And discharge only to about 3.6 per cell. Use an alarm and set it to 3.6. The weakest cell in a batt will drop well below that under max draw asit approaches the limit so you need to be a few tenths above 3.2 for safety. Don't store fully charged packs. Use the storage function on your charger or run them down to 3.7 with your vehicle.

Slight difference of opinion... Use a lipo alarm set to 3.3v/cell, something like this 1 8S LiPo Li ion FE Battery Voltage 2in1 Tester Low Voltage Buzzer Alarm | eBay.

Under load if a cell hits 3.3v there is no damage and no issues. 3.6v under load leaves a LOT of power left in the cell. Lithium polymer battery - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
 
Small update!
At the end I bought the charger IMAX B6AC V2
And batteries ZIPPY Flightmax 4000mAh 3S1P 40C (I chose this battery
mainly because of its dimensions)
What do you say Do I need anything else?

tamiya plug I ordered ...
Lipo bag also I ordered ...
The battery will remain for me only to change her plug?
 
The Tamiya plug is the one to avoid!
It's rated only for up to 15A continuously and the connector parts often corrode which increase the resistance further.
Just about all other options are better!
