Highlucks - Team BWD - The Thing

I will make that call this arvo based on what I have done today at work. But if it is 30*C+ still at 6p.m. that will be a bit warm.

Thanks Shelby we get all the good stuff premixed."thumbsup"

Oh yeah I weighed it last night too. She is 5.03lbs completely RTR.

Skins are done and mounted, again I went for the 0.125mm stainless steel. Notice anything different about them? Its a little something I picked up from DickyT. Before here defected to the Berg side:flipoff:

Domination videos are hard to come by as nobody films at our comps. I will have to make an effort to get some comp footage this year. I plan to go out tomorrow to film its maiden voyage, so I will hopefully have something up by the week end.

Yeah you would think so eh. Stewbaru (my Brother Stewy) is building a Losi MOA BJ3 at the moment so I will have some new competition this year. I guess we will have to see how the season pans out. Mike and his footage we are still waiting for Video's from July aren't we:lmao:

Nice work on the skins Bro.

I was going to do the same on the roof and bonnet of the LoMoa, but as usual, you beat me to it.

I had my thing out on the rocks last night for its first run. So far I am satisfied with its performance, it is not quite as good as the Manits for my eyes yet but there is a lot more testing and tuning to go into this. Before I can make any kind of decision. There was a couple of lines the Thing was able to do that the Mantis has difficulty with but there were others that the Mantis does easily and thing struggled with also (not just break overs). I have just been reading through jcboof's posts in Kratos' thread and think that I may need to move my rear links down one hole. As it tended to flip backward a little too easy.

I ran it last night with my Khaos Rovers on 1" VP SLW V3's and Dlux Knuckle weights. I need to get some longer hubs before I can use the D Lux Wheels with out them scrubbing on the Servo.

When I got home from the practice. I removed the OG rowdy Racing Battery mount and installed an I think its a Big Ron CF battery on motor mount. I found the large RR mount was catching on under hangs way too easily.. So we will see how that goes. I had to shorten the skid by around 2.5cm (1") for the new battery mount. I've also decased the BEC and Rx and condensed them into one package. To fit onto the newly shortened skid.

Sorry guys no video of the outing as I did not have my tripod or girlfriend to hold the camera. So a few photos will just have to do.
