Instead of showing how I built this u4 in a multiple post, multiple picture, I thought I would be a little different to show the assembly in time lapse. This is by far my favorite rc build to date. The chassis quality is amazing and everything went together well with a few minor f'ups on my part. I started the build back in November '15 and slowly bought parts and assembled into the mock up stage. The body panels and battery mount were by far the hardest most time consuming part of the build. I would guess I have about 25 hours into it over the winter to get it to this point where it is now. There isn't much of a u4 scene in NW PA, but a couple of friends are starting one.:ror:

Build Specs:
Chassis: Mattzilla U4 1.9 chassis
Boom Racing Skid Plate

Axles: Rear SSD diamond axle with skid plate loaded with LURC FI spool and axial rear shaft
Front Vanquish F9 loaded with LURC FI spool, Vanquish VVDs, chubs and high steer knuckles and Ti steering linkage
Both have Axial OD gears and wraith 12mm hexes

Links: RC4x4 stainless steel mzu4 with the some revo and jato rod ends to achieve 13" wb

Shocks: Proline Powerstocks 88m (slash fronts) filled with AE 35wt
Dlux shock standoffs

Transmission: Supershafty bombproof with extended 6mm outputs 56t RR spur, starting with 13t RR pinion
Deathmetalgarage transmission spacer (the thinner one)

Driveshafts: MIP AX10 driveshaft for the front
MIP AX10 scorpion dig driveshaft for the rear
HPI m3x12 thru pins instead of grub screws

Electronics: HolmesHobbies Trailmaster esc, Pro puller 540xl 3500kv, HV500 servo powered off CC bec at 8.0v with axial hd servo horn
Gearhead Trail torch light bar run on 6v
Futaba tx/rx
Novak Glitch Buster
3s Ecopower 2200mah 60c

Tires and Wheels: Voodoo KLR Silver compound
Vanquish KMC bully 1.9 with orange beadlock ring
Vanquish SLW 600 hubs
CI lil nova foams for inners, voodoo soft outers

Body panels: Made by me with .025 aluminum sheet
Skins was custom order through Freqeskinz, two custom Accent Packz with color changed

Other custom made stuff included an esc mount, battery mount, and hinged hood to allow easy access with two pins to get to battery.
