got a couple questions i am looking at getting a new dual port charger either this one or a duratrax 245 but i dont know about a couple things on this one it says it has internal balance circuits but comes with balance boards do you have to use those or can you just plug straight into the charger I like the more compact size of this one but the 245 has a 5 year waranty vs 1 I am not sure and I am new to this I run lipo 3s batteries from 20c to 50c all 5000mah i do also want to be able to run it off my truck so I will have to buy the dc cable and I realize I will have to solder connecters on the battery cables no biggy there I am switching over to deans ultra now anyway

thanks for any help

I have an x2 and love it. You do need to ues the balance boards. I really like the wifi adapter so I can see what the charger is up to

I just bought one..... Spent a couple of hours playing and charging last night.

Great product, comes with the two balance boards, you need to solder your batt plugs, or buy hitec pre made ones, as you note.
One big difference with the hitec is when used on dc with the optional cables, it gives you 200 watts, not 100 as in AC mode

Charged 4 different lipos last night. Set each channel at 50%
Balance charged in 40 minutes. Previous charger left cells at 4.05v this charges to 4.20 total charge is 12.6v , love the monitoring and performance.

Great product !!
