Now I can't seem to find any info so here we go I want to install this ESC in my home made crawler with a brushed motor- I already have a program card BUT I do not see anyway to use that card to program it- the manual is not clear (to me) if this ESC is even programmable- Now the 1080 is programmable but it seems more than I need- I do not race or compete- or is the 1080 that much better? Thanks in advance- I'm another noob as if you couldn't tell- Thanks in advance

From their website, it doesn't appear to be programmable.

The 1060 is a good ESC just not programmable. Like Mike said it makes a good winch controler. 1080 is definitely the way to go. I have them in both of my rigs and don't see any reason to buy a different one. Good luck! Hope to see some pics of your homemade crawler. "thumbsup""thumbsup"

1060 shines as a winch controller. The 1080 is the cheapest/ Best Buy for a brushed ESC. It need programming to crawl properly

Hang up and Drive

Yup, the 1060 has become my go-to for winches.

1080 Is the one. I also run 2 trucks on 1060’s and one on a generic 1040. If you are just going to take it out casually and trail with light crawling, the 1060 is absolutely wonderful. Its reliable and accurate and does what your finger tells it to do. Drag brake is strong. Only drawback is the built in bec. You will need a external bec for any servo above 10-13kg, which can be had for almost nothing.
Otherwise just use a high voltage JX, DS or similar servo if on a budget. Just make a bec power bypass for it.
