I’ve got some here and tested them in crawlers. The vesc has terrible low speed resolution in comparison to any name brand esc made for crawling. The FOC aspect might run a motor more efficiently, but it is not harnessed well enough in that product during startup speeds.

My local comp guys just liked the Hobbywing 1080 High performance in budget price. Never heard any complain even on 2.2 sporty comp guys. [emoji4][emoji106]

oh I see it now, I glossed over some of the overly technical words i guess, I thought it was saying vesc was a feature of FoC that was used in the axe and 1080.

That's not good, I am studying for a reading test. Gulp, I think I'm scrwewd. :shock:

I am going to get a HH TM pro 540 / 2700 kv ( WP ) and run it with my castle MMP that have 1 hour of drive time and 5 years of dust collecting time.
And i am going to stay the hell out of the wet stuff, which should be doable as i have been playing submarine with 4 wheels since day 1 so had my fill.


I think the 3300 Kv will be too much of a good thing for my 10.2 :mrgreen:

Just put the 2200kv in my scx10II, on 3s and it is just about perfect. It replaced a 2200kv Chineses motor, which was also just about perfect at 1/3 of the price.
The Holmes Hobbies has a noticeably better drag brake, and better low end control. Sometimes you just want better quality stuff, but the reality is when it comes to the 2pole motors the average person isn't going to notice the difference.

I am used to drive 35T brushed, but i changed to the SSD ALU transmission and it do take some of the wheel speed i feel.
So i figured it was time to try brush less again. something i only ran with my my LCC crawler.
And since i have a unused MMP why not give it a go.


I also always run 3S

I have installed the Axe Foc Combo with 2300kv in the Losi Rock Rey. 12t pinion gear and 2S lipo, 500.000 diff fluid in the front and middle diff. During the first trip, I noticed that the vehicle has no more power to start on a slope after the car stand still. I can push the throttle fully and he wants to accelerate briefly, but does not make it. I have already changed several parameters but nothing helps. Can someone help me? PS: It's not the middle diff that slips.

It’s far too underpowered to push a rock Rey around. It can’t even slip the trx4 slipper.

My Gelande 2 has now been fitted with the Hobbywing Xerun Axe system and all I can say is it's as smooth as balls. The creepin n' the crawlin are super slow!

I'm a newbie. I'm comparing it to a standard RC4WD motor and a cheap brussel sprout ESC.
