I need a new ESC for my SCX10 II build, and I'm thinking about either the Holmes Hobbies TrailMaster BL or the Mamba Max Pro. What's the difference between the two? They look basically the same from the outside, but I'm unclear on their exact specs. It will be driving a HH Puller Pro BL 540XL, 3500kv.

I've got nearly this exact setup in my Wraithzilla - Puller Pro 3500kv with a BLE Pro. I used to run a MMP but I wanted to give the BLE Pro a shot. They're both very comparable but the Holmes ESC has a few more programming options, does not have a fan (big plus IMO) and you can get it factory waterproof which was the main reason I wanted it. I've been very happy with the BLE and haven't had a single glitch in 10 months running in the rain forest on 3s and 4s power.

The BLE is a MMP with slightly different software. The frequency the motor runs at is adjustable , I can't see any others as I have both

I bought the BLE first , then my MMP as no one had any reasons than the "HH service pimping" here, I've had no issues with any of them

Lack of fan and offered as waterproofed are the two physical features that most customers prefer. Not a consideration for you?

Not honestly , your old volt up gear down tells me how to keep it cool .Due to high ambient temps here I have to gear it down
I live in the Everglades , no such thing as waterproof , unless it's by non stop maintenance . No thanks, I'm lazy. I bash high speed on limerock when it's dry and cool, wet season I crawl on the rock piles.

This is a strange place here for RC, I just like to have fun

I also run a BR mini on my crawler and heat is no issue here with that and no fan

Ah screw it, I've spent so much money on this truck already, what's another $30.

Its quality, and if you need wp....no question.

JRH and HH do have great stickers, so another plus!

in all seriousness the frequency adjustment on the BL does make a difference for your sanity when crawling, I'm running mine with a sensored 17.5t tekin, flawless and quiet
