Im hesitant to extend the leads another 4 inches but would another 2 be enough? I didn't run accross any rigs where it was a problem on install but I dont have an H10.

I dont think 2" longer is enough for the H10 at least the way I've routed it (from passenger side back to the driver side). The 8" lead puts it just outside the door/cage.

I understand not wanting a super long lead, in most rigs I want the lead to be short. The H10 is just unique in this scenario as you kind of need the wire outside of the body to connect it.

I have the R3 Axe setup in my Optic, and have the motor wires coming from the right side (passenger) They're way long, but I don't want to shorten them.
I'll be running the CM3/3000kv combo in my Origin, until JRH drops the 3000kv 2n1.
