Homeland security shits on Border Patrol

The only drug I believe should be decriminalized would be pot, I feel it is less a destuctive substance than alcohol. As for the rest of the cocktails out there, coke, heroin, meth etc. they should be treated with much concern as they are destroyers of families and lives.
Yes idiots will always abuse abusive substances , but making them legal is'nt the answer.

Well you always say government should stay out of your lives, personal responsibilities and so forth. Again I ask, do you think the only thing stopping some people from railing lines and shooting heroin is the fact that its illegal?
No, these people are addicts, they need to be treated like addicts and not criminals.

keeping those drugs illegal will do absolutely nothing to protect those addicts or aid their families..
you cant honestly say that the war on drugs has done anything at all except empower the drug cartels

Meth was the dominate weapon of choice for it's inventors the Nazi's.

Hey, the Nazis came up with some good shit...its just too bad they put it to such bad use.

But still, the meth you buy on the street is not the same as what it used to be or what is currently prescribed.

This is sad. We should be embracing our border patrol agents and give them anything they need to do their job as safely and effectively as possible. I cannot believe this

Ha! It wasn't the Nazis.

Discovery

Shortly after the first synthesis of amphetamine in 1887,[92] methamphetamine was first synthesized from ephedrine in Japan in 1893 by chemist Nagai Nagayoshi.[93] The term "methamphetamine" was derived from elements of the chemical structure of this new compound: methyl alpha-methylphenylethylamine. In 1919, crystallized methamphetamine was synthesized by pharmacologist Akira Ogata via reduction of ephedrine using red phosphorus and iodine.[92]
Military use

One of the earliest uses of methamphetamine was during World War II, when it was used by Axis and Allied forces.[94] The company Temmler produced methamphetamine under the trademark Pervitin and so did the German and Finnish militaries. It was also dubbed "Pilot's chocolate" or "Pilot's salt".[95] It was widely distributed across rank and division, from elite forces to tank crews and aircraft personnel, with many millions of tablets being distributed throughout the war.[96] More than 35 million three-milligram doses of Pervitin and the closely related Isophan were manufactured for the German army and air force between April and July 1940.[97] From 1942 until his death in 1945, Adolf Hitler may have been given intravenous injections of methamphetamine by his personal physician Theodor Morell. It is possible that it was used to treat Hitler's speculated Parkinson's disease, or that his Parkinson-like symptoms that developed from 1940 onwards resulted from using methamphetamine.[98] In Japan, methamphetamine was sold under the registered trademark of Philopon (ヒロポン[99] hiropon[100]) by Dainippon Pharmaceuticals (present-day Dainippon Sumitomo Pharma) for civilian and military use. As with the rest of the world at the time, the side effects of methamphetamine were not well studied, and regulation was not seen as necessary. In the 1940s and 1950s the drug was widely administered to Japanese industrial workers to increase their productivity.[101]

Methamphetamine and amphetamine were given to Allied bomber pilots to sustain them by fighting off fatigue and enhancing focus during long flights. The experiment failed because soldiers became agitated, could not channel their aggression and showed impaired judgment.[92] Rather, dextroamphetamine (Dexedrine) became the drug of choice for American bomber pilots, being used on a voluntary basis by roughly half of the United States Air Force pilots during the 1991 Gulf War, a practice which came under some media scrutiny in 2003 after a mistaken attack on Canadian troops.

I know Duuuuuuuude, our military still uses it for those long flight missions to protect us. But I don't see it being produced for leisure use by drug companies any time soon.
And yes , street meth is dope not pharmicutical prescriptions.

Progressive liberalism at it's finest. Last I heard we don't have coca or poppy feilds here to supply the addiction.

And we used to produce the meth, until Sudafed became difficult to find in large quantities. Now Mexican cartels get the raw supplies from China and produce a MUCH higher quality product which is sold in our country.

When we can produce it we do.

Hey opek, how about YOU move to a country that has no interest in securing its border. It's morons like you that have no concept of how this illegal immigration is ****ing things up. Like I said, before you tell bob what to do, how about you GTFO.

I'm willing to compromise and I don't call foul when we do. I'm just saying, if you can't take the democracy then go somewhere else.:flipoff:

Your that younger generation, real meth was made from phenyl 2 propenol

And, since those drugs could be produced in the US, there would be less coming from across the border, resulting in lower prices and way less profit (and power) for the big drug cartels.

This, at least according to my friend who studies Mexican drug cartels. "thumbsup"

Just saying, pseudofed does'nt make real meth. It's a "designer" drug. A substitute.

A designer drug is a prescription drug misused for recreational purposes. "thumbsup" Not a raw material in the manufacture of methamphetamine. The reason the meth was lower quality is because people were making it in their bathtubs, not in large multi million dollar facilities a la breaking bad; which is where the meth comes from at the moment.

Your brilliant, not. Designer drugs are copycat drugs made from sorta like chemicals. Meth heads are useless for anything, period.

I live close to Casa Grande which has a very large Border Patrol precinct and I see these guys almost everyday

That's no joke. At the first ACC, held in CG, I'd see those guys at the gas station stocking up on coffee every morning before the sun came up....there were a bunch of them in that town.

Well according to you the cartels are terrorists and according to this website: U.S. Customs and Border Protection - Border Security drug smuggling is by far a higher priority than the family who is willing to run through the desert for a chance to sit outside of Home Depot during the growing seasons and pick fruit during the fruiting seasons.
