TowerHobbies.com | Hot Racing Aluminum Steering Servo Mounting Kit

What do you guys think of this thing, I may convert my Grave Robber WK (13" stretch with a Grave Robber hearse body and wearing T-Maxx tires on RPM Stablemaxx rims) over to this and return my stretched Crawler WK (about 12.5" wb on 1.9 Swamper XLs w/HPI 31mm Vintage "Stock Car" wheels with a XJ body back to a "stock" steering set up, both rigs are flipped, but the Grave Robber might be returned to a rear battery set up and eventually made 4 wheel steer.

I have it and the it has served me well. It has tweaked slightly over the years of abuse and the steering link that comes with it is junk if you have a high torque servo. i would definitely recommend making a custom steering link if you do purchase this mount.

The WK axle shafts struggle to stay together with 5.5 tires. Good luck!

Thanks guys, the part came in today and I already plan on a beefier link, plus both WK's already have RCP/MIP CVDs!

Ah the oh so elusive cvd's. I have a set myself, just not installed yet. I only have the level3 one, but it has held up good so far

The XJWK has a set of axles that I got CHEAP that already had them and I bought a set from RCP when they got a batch a couple years back for the Grave Robber since I intended to go with a brushless of some sort and Maxx sized tires at some point. The worked nicely on the truck with a XL5/Titan 12t with stock WK rolling stock on both 7.4v ans 11.1v (should have seen the look on a Traxxas rep's face when I told him about that one :ror: ), but here's how that one looks now"thumbsup"

Vot the mount and initially installed it with the Traxxas 2075 servo I had in the truck already and found that it would steer while on a somewhat grippy surface with only 125oz/in, I also bought one of the short Savox metal gear servos ment for 1/10 buggies with the same torque and .09 Transit time and will use that to actually steer the truck, might eventually get a second servo mount and servo so I can put 4 wheel steer on it"thumbsup"
