How do you like your BF GOODRICH KRAWLER T/A 2.2 Tires?

I recently acquired a brand new POISON SPYDER WRAITH, and after taking it out a few times; I found the tires to do okay with the rims on the factory setting. Okay is good but I know the BF GOODRICH KRAWLER T/A Tires could do better. I plan to tune my tires by adjusting the setting on the rims, by moving it to the crawler setting which allows the most air in; and add some stick-on weight to the rims. Hopefully this will get the BF GOODRICH KRAWLER T/A 2.2 Tires performing at its best.

Yeah Creepy, The Axial Trail Ready wheels have 3 breather holes 180 degrees from one another(six holes in all,3 each side)and when you build the wheels there's sleeve around the center that can be adjusted back and forth to give you the option of running 2,4 or 6 breather holes. I drilled two 1/8"holes(1 on each side) on my VP SLW 1" V2s and do very well crawling, but I use HB Rovers(white dot). Not sure of the diameter of the breather holes on the Axial Trail Ready wheels.

after adding stick-on weights to each rim and giving the 6 holes breather holes a little reaming with the body reamer, the BF GOODRICH KRAWLER T/A wheels feel nice and ready for the rocks.

You added weight to the rim itself, how much did you use? Have you upgraded the driveline to handle the increased rotational mass. would you say more or less than what a set of aluminum beadlocks weigh? are you running stock gearing and motor??

im still running the stock set up. I added about 5 oz. to each front rim and 3 oz. to each back rim. hopefully its close to aluminum beadlock weight. I want to get a set of Mayhem monsters 2.2's

I don't have any other tire experience but these BFG's seem to be softening up the more I drive on them. Add some weight and I think they will work just fine they do seem stiff at first.

do you have beef tubes on your rig? if yes, how are they? did you have any installation issues? with the screw?
