How to make: Bungee Cords

I know this thread hasn't been active in awhile but I wanted to say thanks for the great tip!!! I just made some yesterday and it was an easy straight forward method."thumbsup"

Went to Lowes, couldn't find the wire. My Wal Mart sucks the A-hole, so, I will try Lowes again for rebar wire. Thanks for the tip."thumbsup"

Just go to a local rebar fabrication yard. The prices there will be much better than Lowe's. I should know...I work at one (rebar yard that is) :-P

This is a great idea, I made some a while ago. I ended up just using some paper clips, seems to work fine, plus who doesnt have paper clips?

Yeah, paper clips work good for this. Uncoil the clip all the way except for the last inner bend (that will be the "hook"). Then make the spiral out of the straightened protion by wrapping around a mini screwdriver shaft as shown in the original post.

I just made a bunch of these like that, safety pins work great! & they already have the coiled part started, just snip the point off & the clasp part, and coil half on a mini screwdriver, the other half becomes the hook.

Thanks for the cool tip!
(shhh..... don't tell the wife I stole about 20 of her hair ties:D)

ummm...... my way came easier thanks to bdaddy from youtube....
i used paperclips and hair ties. i cut to size then burned the tips, finally i wrapped paper clips around the end an voala.... bungie cord

great write up, thanks for sharing it with all of us. I made a few of these the other day using colored paper clips. Pretty easy and cheap to make.
