well i built my first crawler and the first thing to break were the drive shafts i finally received my steel ones in the mail but theres one problem i cant get the old ones off! the pin that holds the drive shaft on to the axle is stuck solid when i built the truck i followed the instructions and put threadlock before adding the pin the pin is rusty and about stripped fully any suggestions?

Heat the grub with a heat gun or a lighter, being VERY careful not to heat the plastic tranny case, this will soften up the thread lock.

Had the same problem try heating it, save the drilling for last choice, i used my rotery tool for mine.

Dremel tool with a cut off wheel, it worked for me, just becarful to only cut through the problem area...but a couple of relief cuts should do the trick..."thumbsup"

A friend of mine had the same problem and was able to loosen the screw with a small tip on his soldering iron, then used a small flat-blade screwdriver (since he rounded out the hole) to remove it.

15lb sledge, 1"wide cold chisel sharpened to a razors edge, and a drop of nitroglycerin will do the trick!! All kidding aside, the heat trick with a lighter or soldering iron works great! Also, if you have been using this allen wrench for a while and the edges are worn off, cut the tip of it off so you can start with a clean un rounded edge. a lot of times it isnt the screw thats stripped, its the wrench (if youre a cheapskate like me)!!!
