The old one was nice camera for beaning under a $100 6 to 8 years ago, I should of known that when the battery door lock broke and won't close that it was starting to go south, I left in my truck and it was over a hundred degree's out and more in the truck, for a couple of days, I think I cooked it cause it powers up and shuts off immediately and if doesn't shut off, the rear screen black, no flicker, nothing its toast

Hey bud, we meet every Sunday on the Donner summit for crawling. You are more then welcome to join us. Shoot me your number if you want to come hang out.

hey does any body know why it won't let post pics from the new camera it says the security token is missing and won't post the pics

and if you put the memory card in the desktop it does not find it, but if use the usb cable, between the camera and desktop, you can see the pictures on the card thru the camera and on the desktop

its a SDHC card, the same as the card from the old camera uses a 4gb max the new camera has a 16gb card and 64gb is the max, maybe my desktop needs a driver to recognize the 16gb card

its suggests using SDXC cards but I don't think they will work in my desktop even with new drivers and only work with SDXC devices

Now I really don't get it, take the 16gb card that came with the camera and put it in my laptop, it finds the card and opens the folder the pictures are in, I can format it the card on my laptop, I then put the card in my Desktop nothing it can't or won't find the card, put back in the laptop again finds the card and open a empty folder, just like every other formatted card so I don't get it, there both Dell's with 3gb's plus I-7 processors with Windows 8.1, and there were only bought a few months apart, so they can't be that different, how the laptop reads it, but my desktop don't. I looked I couldn't find driver update for the reader on the desktop

So I don't get it, I don't want to buy a new card and have it do same thing where my desktop won't read that where all my pictures, go right to the desktop

Your desktop's card reader is either: 1) A POS and can't read that format 2) Old and the card is larger capacity than the reader can read 3) You have crap drivers on your desktop for your card reader 4) You should shoot a Yeti and steal it's magical beans for a super awesome smoothie

ok now what I went to Dell.com and I just downloaded and installed the only card reader update there is and after restart it still don't find the 16gb card

I just pulled the 32gb SDHC micro memory card out of my Samsung phone and put in the adapter and then in my desktop and it reads it and opens contents of the card.

my desktop must just not like the 16gb card, cause it can the 32gb out of phone no problem

I think you been smoking the magical beans

All righty then, I figured out how to use the paint program to re-size and save the pictures, so I can now post pictures on here

I know there is a setting in the camera, that you can size the pics, so you can post them, the Guy at the Sprint Store changed the settings on my phone so I can post pics from it,

does anybody know where in the settings to look or how to change the picture size

I bought a new hard case and SanDisk 32gb SDHC card that works in my desktop and laptop, cause I checked both and the Camera the new card is fine, it must be the brand of the 16gb card

I think I found the right settings but not sure

there is

18M L 18M # Large in pixels its 4,896 x 3,672

10M M 10M # Medium in pixels its 3,648 x 2,736

5.0M S 5.0M # Small in pixels its 2,592 x 1944

VGA VGA in pixels its 640 X 480

I figured it out, the VGA is the right setting to post pics on here or on other sites

or...

take the images at the highest setting, and make a copy of the ones you want to upload and re-size them to 800px on the longest side.

Just keep using Paint to re-size the images.

You can always shrink an image, making it bigger to refer back to, not so much. Also taking the images at the 640x480 size they will look like crap anyway.

I got it, I changed the setting to VGA which is 640 x 480, but get what you saying and go big then shrink to 800 x 600, I looked on the site here, when you post pictures it shows the max allowable pixels is 1200 x 1200, I'll use the VGA setting on the camera or shrink them, then saving them before I post them

its a brand new camera its only a few months old, the previous owner got it, then needed one with exchangeable lens and his company picked up the bill for his new camera, so I bought it from him

I'm still figuring out the camera and some of the settings and the little changes, if any by playing with the enhancements, Its a really nice camera, probably more than enough technology like my Samsung cell phone,

I've had my Samsung phone 3 to 3 1/2 years and there still features and settings and enhancements, I have not touched

its going to take me a little while to get used the camera, features, and settings

the hardest part is all of the symbols there confusing, I 'm going to look online and see what info I can find

cause I have no idea of what they mean
