I don't know what monster truck I want.

I want to buy a monster truck but I'm looking for opinions. I wanted a savage flux for the longest time but since I was a child I've wanted a clod buster. And now I've been eyeing up the stampede 4x4. Cost really isn't much of a factor but fun factor is what I want.

Well the stampede is a smaller truck compared to like a tmaxx or revo or emaxx.. Do u want nitro or electric?

For electric the emaxx is a nice sized "monster truck" or even the summit is good. I loved my summit when I had it. Added a brushless setup and bigger tires and it was a beast!

For nitro a revo is a awesome truck too, as well as a tmaxx.

Also the savage flux line is good too, I've just have owned traxxas in the past.

I won't get another nitro. I had a savage 25 that I sold. I don't think I would buy an emaxx or erevo because I feel their prices have gotten way above what they're worth imo. I like the summit but I really don't need anything to crawl with.

Yea the erevo is deff pricey but a Blast to drive, I sold mine a few months ago, ridiculous fast on 6s.
The stampede is a decent rig for something a little smaller. Just never owned one, I guess it all depends on how much u decided u want to spend on one. Good luck on the search.

I'll probably pull the trigger on the stampede. For the price I can get some good 3s batts and some upgrades. Someday i'll build a clod and keep as a shelf queen.

if money isnt an issue i'd get the summit. its an all around great truck. you can bash, crawl, fly, kinda race with it, and do just about everything else. plus it's extremely durable right out of the box

Why do you guys have to throw another option at me lol. I do love the look of a blue summit....more to think about. This is good cause I do tend to buy things on impulse.

Like I mentioned above... I loved my summit... I never "crawled" with it much it was just an all around basher and extremely durable. Great rig out of box or u can throw a brushless kit on it and it will be a beast... Just my $.02
I had the mamba monster 2200kv & 40 series rock crusher tires on it and it was MEAN. Deff gonna need a servo upgrade but... All around a awesome truck IMO

Also alot of good upgrades for it motor wise, ex:
Brushless, or dewalt upgrade or even the kershaw designs dual dewalt motor setup..

Well I decided to build a stampede 4x4. I bought a vxl off the classifieds here and a roller off ebay. Can't to throw all the hop ups at it. I plan running 3s.

My neighbor has a pretty hopped up stampede and it rocks. You will have fun with it. I had a clod when is was younger and it was awesome. Wish I never traded it away. Good luck with your truck. Post some pics when u are all done plz.

I've got an old school stampede that I upgraded to vxl, brushless and 8.4volts. What a blast! I want some more!

The tires and wheels will be here this week. 2.8 badlands premounts on whatever proline calls they're wheels. I'm gonna order up the king headz motor mount and mips. I need to find a body too. Eventually i'll do aluminum blocks, knuckles, carriers, rpm arms etc... but I just want to get it runnin'.
