I for a person who wouldn't mind showing me the ropes of rock crowing

hi my name is Kent , have done some rc racing over the years but it just wasn't what I was looking for. I want to get with a group to do some rock crowing and desert running . I m looking for some one who wouldn't mind showing me the ropes and help me get started on what to buy and not to buy. Some one that won't mind me meeting them at a run and hanging around so I learn from them and they can get some good laughs whiching miss up . I'm not a young kid, I have been around RC cars and trucks for a wile just not the rock crowing end of. If you think you my have some time to help me out with some quiestions I have and wouldn't mind helping to get to know others that craw in our area I would be great full for you help. Thank Kent

Welcome.
There are scale runs about weekly in the east valley, but most of the planning goes down on the Arizona Scale Trail Runners facebook page these days.
The ASTR scale comp and PARC comp crawler schedule is on this forum and a map to a lot of our sites is stickied also.
There are lots of guys that will be willing to give you all kinds of advice, you'll have to decide what is BS and what isn't.
