I got a new idea....

My next project should have been a Torro M16 halftrack, but due to an ugly big car bill it unfortunately has to wait a bit....
But then got another idea instead....

Had this wild led which takes a 9v battery directly and since I was in Normandy I've been a bit crazy about the big anti-aircraft searchlight so why not play around with that idea.

This model I'm thinking of.

After a trip to various boxes and around the boys' room, I had a few things to go on with.
Here is what I achieved today... Now it needs some paint and the electrics installed, so time will tell if it can look roughly right.

It won't be 100%, I know.

Just a thought, $1.25 store flashlight might make a decent reflector or the old 6v brick flood lights trimmed down.

Yes, you could probably have done it that way... But now this was just what I could find around here at home.
As I said, it won't be 100% right, I'm taking some artistic liberties

So It got primer for the first time

Also started fitting lights and it all works, still need the finished paint and some weathering.

As I said, I know it's not 100% "right", but I hope it will be okay

Yep... Really cool. I like these kinds of projects where you take things like random household items and transform them into something completely different that no one would suspect started life as whatever item. Butter tubs and plastic containers being turned into fender liners comes to mind. Anyway.. looks great.

If it wasn't for the not so scale stuff in the back ground I would have thought it was the real deal
Looks 100% to me at least from a distance lol

So now what ya gonna make a video of it lighting some rocks up to crawl on ?

That beam has some surprisingly decent output. Finished product looks great and absolutely legit. Love the accessorizing and hell... probably been almost 50 years since I've heard some Johnny Mercer!

Yes, it lights up super well, will probably try to get a better video. And that's the sound of ww2 c")

Great additions! Well done. I am no history buff but that looks to be about the right size next to the tank, soldier and mini runabout.

Thank you both and yes the size fits fine, it is also just a little taller than a grown man in reality

I just purchased/received a 1/6 scale Willy's Jeep trailer - MBT.
And the details of that are detailed impeccably.
I was going to replace my 1/6 scale M100 trailer I pulled behind my custom made RC Nylint/Wraith TJ Jeep.
But after looking at this one, I haven't the gonads to destroy this detail work.
Instead I have purchased another M100 in a delivery process and that'll will be the one I play doctor on instead ! ;-)

Here's my old trailer pulled behind my 1/6 TJ Jeep... ( The tongues plastic became destroyed (melted) when shipping to my new address. Would seem the tongue & frame plastic did not like the voyage here )
