Not really sure if this question should go here or in the AX10 section, as I'm not entirely sure just how noobie a question this is

I've bought a set of Imex Puller Dawgs for an AX10 based mudder / light crawler build that I'm working on, and they're so wide that on full lock the lugs of the tyres are fouling on the lower links.

Are there wheels available that increase the offset and widen the track out a notch, (at the moment I'm using stock AX10 wheels), or is there something more basic that I'm just not doing right?

Help appreciated!

cheapest and easiest thing would be to get a set of hex wideners, it will space the wheels out further, short of that you will have to buy new wheels with adjustible offsets or a wide off set. Mayhem and vanquish are both good choices if you go that route

Thanks monkey.. am certainly likeing the Vanquish wheels there.

As for pics, I do have a mock up of roughly how it'll look when it's done, with the Pullers fitted.

I've taken the stock AX10 chassis, shortened it down to around 260mm so that the Blitzer Beetle shell fits properly. It's going to have 4WS, a 35t drift motor, adjusted gearing (currently 20 / 74, but I think that's going to be too high, so will change it to 18 / 81) and working lights. Going to put repro Tamiya Monster Beetle decals on to finish it off.

The Tamiya Monster Beetle was my first RC back in the late 80s, and after getting back into RC 20 years later to restore it and 12 cars later (including another AX10) I thought I'd have a go at making a "Proper" Monster Beetle, that won't be as fast as a buggy, but will be faster than a normal crawler. A sort of jack-of-all-trades go anywhere car.

They're the standard wheels that comes with an AX10.

I've bought a set of wheels from the HoBao Pirate 10 which have a positive offset, and looking at pics of that truck have much wider tyres as well, so they should fit those monster pullers a bit better 8)

Just thought I'd post an update. The Hobao wheels have arrived, and have been fitted! They're actually a negative offset (my bad for terminology misunderstanding there!) and are a good deal wider than the stock AX10 wheels, so the Pullers fit better on the wheel as well.

Pretty pleased with the way it's looking.. can't wait for the other bits to arrive so I can get it finished! :flipoff:
