Several years back I saw a Revo brushless converted at one of the Augusta GA scale meets that had a super thick indestructible body. I was with JasonInAugusta and he introduced me to the guy who owned it. He said it was something that was fixing to go into production and I thought I had seen it in a rc magazine as well but its been so long ago I cant remember. It was just like any shell vacuum formed but the lexan or whatever it was ~1/8 thick and was patterned and tinted not clear. I think his was like green with assault rifles all over it. anyway wondering if anyone had seen anything like that before and if not, why not? Seems like there would be a market cause I feel like I destroy a body every time I go out with the fast trucks. I put my hands on it so I know it existed. he even dared me to tear it or mess it up by hand.

Ceramic - Polymer composites have that potential.

Over the past 100 years, there have been several inventions that have the potential to change human life in a major way....but most of these inventions are used in a very specific field for a specific task and that is all to their life which then ends up in a library or a patent filling.

The rate at which inventions are being made now, is far greater than couple decades back and inventions today dont get the attention they deserve. Its like...'ahh another invention..ok move on'

I bet big on Chemical engineering and its potential to open new doors.

i know it would be heavy, but i would love a hardbody made out of that fibered plastic that the little tykes kids toys are made of.

you could get them in regular camo, blue camo, its killing me cause I have searched online to no avail. the one I held was a good bit heavier but on a MT it probably wasn't noticeable. Wish I knew where Jason went to. Anyone heard much from him?

After JIA went to Hawaii, he all but disappeared. Sad really. He was good.

He told me he was getting burnt out. I don't know what all he did with his stuff. The amount of rc stuff he had and had a hand in was unreal. Last I spoke with him he was trying to sell most of it off and take a break. He was a super nice guy I hate he isn't around but for that matter there are a number of those guys who arnt around anymore.

He probably fell in love with the rocks out there and all the endless trails. I would love to disappear in Hawaii myself.

I know what you're talking about - they sold them in Rc Car Action.

I think they were just really thick lexan.

Yea they were in the back of rccaraction. Wish i knew where some of those magazines were. Yea Ole Ralph was an interesting peice. Yea the linex thing is all i could find thats around now.

If I lived in Hawaii, I wouldn't care about RC's either. RC's still have a certain appeal to me, but, in the last 5 years it has become less and less. I think now I like the idea more than I like actually using them.
