I have been really wanting to compete with my crawler lately, the only places to go are 15-20 mins from town, its getting cold. So, I figured I would make a course in my shop, so far it is 40" wide and 15' long, I still need to make the entrances or exits and both ends. I am thinking of doing the burlap sack cover. This climbs are 55 degrees, thinking of making one exit 65 degrees and the other one easier but fun...IDEAS??? The course is made of 3 different sections so I can move them around if needed or transport them. Figure they will weigh around 250 lbs each. Anybody around Amarillo wanna check it out, let me know, there are a few guys around here already. Trying to get more into it. Anyway here are a couple pics from today...I started it today, not bad progress. Let me know what you think, NickIndoor Crawler Course 002.jpg

Got one of the exit or entrances built, I made it 60 degrees everywhere except where you go down onto the main part of the course, it is 65 degrees. Gonna try and put some quikcrete on tomorrow. Here some picsIndoor Crawler Course 006.jpg

There's a new one on hope road and climer. Practice Wednesdays and comps on Saturdays. I believe 7pm... Shane works at Hobby Time should have more information for you. I think comps run $20

Any updates to your course? New pics?

I live in Clovis. I am very interested in coming up there, but i dont know the area. Can you be more specific (hope road and climer)? Maybe an address that i can look up with mapquest. And do you have any contact info for Shane (screen name, phone number)? Thank you

If you are coming in on 1-40 from NM exit hope road. You should see Gander Mountain on your left. You want to make a right. I believe Clymer (Climer sp?) is the first or second street on your right. Go all the way down and its the last building on your left.

Hobby Time - Google Places

Thanks for the directions. So is it an indoor course in Hobby Time? Is the schedule pretty firm? I looked Hobby Time up on the internet, but it didnt show anything about crawlers, a crawler course, or a schedule. Pics by any chance? Thanks

I believe the first comp course was this past weekend. It is indoors consisting of lots of rocks, cable bridges, logs, etc. I didn't take any pics. Hobby Time and the indoor crawling place are two different places... Click the Google Places link for their info.

Hey man I'm in amarillo and don't have squat to crawl on. And I even work in the oilfield! I'd live to bring my bully by one weekend. I might even be able to get away to help u build on it some.

Let me know
Dustin
