Injora Cherokee body on SCX10 II mounting options

I have an injora cherokee body and I was wondering if anyone has come up with a hidden and clever way to mount the body on an SCX10II chassis? I stared at it for an hour last night and nothing really came to mind for mounting the rear.

Mounting the body is always a PITA for me, so figured I should ask for help before reinventing the wheel.

These Injora bodies are nice, very detailed, and at a great price. But their mounting system is funky, at best.

You should have gotten four body mounts with your kit, the two long ones go in the back, and the two short ones go in the front. The parts that look like buckles allow more flexibility in mounting. In the back, you have to loosen all of the chassis brace screws so the mounts can slide on, in the front you have to loosen the two front chassis brace screws, once the body is in place, you tighten them all up.

I have a Comanche body on my Element, and kind of went a different route, take a look at what I have done, it might give you some inspiration. I am using the front mounts that came with the body, but have replaced the stock front chassis brace screws with thumb screws; but I have a completely custom mount on the back.

The way you mounted the body was pretty on par with what I was envisioning last night as well "thumbsup"

I used the mounts it came with on my Gellande. Will post some pictures a bit later this afternoon.

I have in the past cut off body mounts from old toys and glued them to the hood, roof, then used traxxas battery hold down posts and a body clip. You could also glue some plastic tube,and sc4ew it down from underneath

This is how I mounted it on my Gellande. It's not exactly the same as an SCX10 but it might help give the general idea of the way they intended it to be mounted. These are with the stock mounts the body came with.

Front mounts line up perfectly with the forward-most servo mount and an optional servo mount hole on the opposite side of the chassis.

On the rear, I have the rear mounts held in place with the leaf spring pivot bolts.

End result was that it lined up perfectly with the wheelbase and sits at the proper height over the chassis.

Hope this helps! Like I said I know all the holes won't match perfectly but hell, you've got a C-channel frame. You can always drill holes.

Here is where I’m at now. A buddy had a great idea to mount some aluminum to the rear bumper in a prime spot for attaching the body either via magnets or hidden body posts. It’s a thick strong part of the body, so I think this could work very well.

the front is pretty straight forward, just will be mounted with magnets

This is one of the biggest reasons I bought a 3D printer, making brackets like these is done some much easier.

Default location for a Gellande II. I didn't mess with battery placement at all. A 2S 5200 fits nicely.
