Insomnia sufferers?

Mine is related to substance/alcohol abuse.I woke up on the kitchen floor hugging a bowl of cake mix with a
straw coming out of it in my undies once. That was probably the best sleep I've ever had.Don't know how I got there though.

Believe it or not with insomnia, after a while it's mind related, not circumstance. You get into a mode of thinking you
wont sleep and then you don't because of it.Some of us are our own worst enemies. Then your body starts
thinking that bed is a place to stay awake. It's a hard cycle to get out of,similar to anxiety, the more you worry
the worse it gets, but sometimes you can't help it.

I'm not an insomniac, but I do get periods of sleeplessness. If I'm not out 30 minutes after being in bed, I get up and go do something until I feel sleepy again. Sometimes its an hour, sometimes its three.

Meditation is also good, but takes a while to get good at it. Usually I'm asleep within just a few minutes of my head hitting the pillow, if not less.

You stole the words right out of my mouth. I hardly ever remember a dream. When I do I wish I hadn't.

I enjoy dreaming...quite a bit actually. But pain induced dreams are a bit strange. Tore the ligaments in my hips racing go-carts and it's a bit hard to get comfortable at night. Some whiskey helps, but adds to those vivid dreams at times...

No pills to date...but quite a chiropractic bill...she helps ...not too cute though

I'm not really after answers for it,I know I've got it now, have done for 5 years or more.

You gotta be serious about insomnia and don't take it lightly. It slowly affects your bodies efficiency and over years of time, your body parts are degraded. This will affect you badly as you get old.

When we are sleeping, our body simply starts repairing itself. It would be like running a car without a servicing at all and you can surely expect the engine to seize or parts to start failing.

I strongly suggest you meet a GOOD, Well Experienced Homeopathy doctor. They have medication that will give you good sleep at night.

The only reason you won't realize how serious this problem is, because its bad effects don't turn out immediately. Trust me, with my direct answer because I have had some sleeping issues in the past and homeopathy got me out.

My sleep habits are do to work mostly I'd say, I alternate from days to swings weekly so my body is in a no sleep pattern, go from getting off work at 3am Saturday night to getting up at 3am Monday morning:what:...guess my body get used to only three to four hours a day, and if I actually fall into a deep sleep...well I slept through life flight landing in my back yard to get the neighbor....on occasion I'll sleep heavy enough to dream maybe once a month, and I have one of two dreams, they've been the same sense I was a kid. One: its like a little red riding hood dream but the wolf chases me but its a half wolf half human shape that has eyes but the body is like pokey like if you drew it with a pencil and never lifted it, like drawing twisters..the other I'm pretty sure I'm awake while its happening but I'm always grabbing for line in my vision and I can feel me grabbing them and if I don't get one it feels like I'm falling and I jerk hard enough to wake up my wife. Like right now everyone is asleep and I'm playing on my phone waiting to fall asleep cuz it beat starring into the dark...

I can say that for me personally it's not diet related. I eat very healthy. My insomnia is completely related to my pain.

Same boat here... Vicious circle... Either the pain keeps me awake, or the Percs and Morphine keep me even more awake.

I have realised how serious it is mate.It is already and has already taken it's
toll on everything in my life including jobs, relationships,my personality, thinking, not being able to drive, eye sight, anxiety, heart palpitations, pretty much everything. This thread is for those of us having these problems to get together for a bit of a laugh and to share, the subject is not taken lightly.

Luckily when I lived away for a year I got a break, believe it or not I
was doing bum shifts when this happened at a hospital. When I did
the graveyard shift it was 11-7. I would come home, have some red
wine and cheese on the couch watching TV until felt drowsy and
go to bed at about 8-9am and sleep the day.my shifts would change
but almost always I could sleep regardless. It was hot and humid there
I think that had something to do with it.

Now I'm back home and so is my insomnia, I'm hoping it will go out
on it's own again and I can return to being semi-normal.If I could
afford a Homoeopathy doctor I would have one.In the past I looked into
nearly everything,I might look at giving Chinese medicine a go this time.

When I said I'm not looking for answers, I meant on here,I'm not after suggestions to
help myself in this thread, this is for everyone to talk about these subjects.

I feel I should help you out.
There is this company in India that is a leader in homeopathy medicine manufacturing. My doctor prepared pills from the tinctures made by this company. Welcome to S B L | WORLD CLASS HOMOEOPATHY

What I can do is, I can contact their main branch regarding your issue and ask them how they can help you out. If they are able to provide you advice over emails and send you pills through courier, then good for you. Any homeopathy doctor will debrief you fully before giving you medicines. So you will probably be going through a lot of to and fro emails in case they agree. Don't worry about the cost as it will be quite low here. My monthly pills cost me about 10 USD and + traveling cost to the doctor.

Homeopathy treatment brings result after 3 to 4 weeks at least. So patience is required.

is that spam? I can't tell.

me too. I'm going to bed now. I have been told I have CFS but no one knows what that is or why it happens

I came home from Iraq with insomnia issues, not trying to sound like a sissy but a glass of red wine about an hour before bedtime does the trick for me ( I was prescribed ambien but it just gets me high...not tired)

I haven't slept at all in the last two nights. It seems to come and go. Less beer lately, but not by much. Just lay there, turn a bit, barely nod off and have insane dreams. Not on the Benydryl either. No idea what's up but I don't like it. Gotta stay hopped up on coffee all day to not almost nod off at work, then I come home and can't even nap. Lame.

If I drink coffee past lunch I have trouble sleeping too.

Going to bed without a round chambered is the best advice.

I'm going to bump this because it's 2am and i'm tired.

Just been spending nights rolling around pissing off the mrs.

I've been getting tired in the early afternoon but wont sleep incase
it makes me sleep less at night.

Couple of puffs on a doob might settle things.hmmmmm.
