Integy piggyback shocks..

i bought a set of these piggybacks shocks from rc4wd for my clod and i have a couple questions about them....are you supposed to run oil in them and if so what kind? and second they come with little replacement piston plastic washer things it has a 1 hole 2 hole and 3 hole that you can swap out and put in there what do the different ones do:?

I have them on my TLT. I run 20wt oil in them. The you can adjust the shocks by using the teflon washers. I believe they'll run softer the more holes that are in them. I run the 3 hole in mine and they are soft and smooth...;-)

Same here, I have the MSR5 w/ 3 hole running 25 wt smooth as silk.

Since we're talking about MSR4's&5's, I'll throw this out there. They come with the 2 hole in them right? I threw 20wt in mine. Now will the shock perform the same way with 20wt and 1 hole, as say 40wt and 2 holes? I'm sure the calculation is quite that easy, but for argument's sake let's say it is. Less holes in the piston will make it harder for the fluid to flow, therfore making the shock "stiffer"? Is this accurate? I need to combat torque twist in my TLT and don't want to swap springs if I don't have to.

Running 1 hole or even 100wt oil only slows down the dampening. So in a high speed truck yes it will make the shocks seem stiffer by trying to quickly force the oil through the single hole but in a crawler you won't see the same affect because the oil will eventually pass through the single hole and the shock will reach it's limit in travel.

I think the easiest way to battle torqe roll is by using different spring rates.
