I thought I might try to put ball point pen springs inside the shocks and get rid of the externals all together. I'm trying to make it look and drive more like a scaler anyway, so it should improve the looks.

Sound dumb? Any thoughts?

The springs from inside the tumblers on almost all locks will fit. I found them to be to stiff for my liking.I tried heating them to take some spring ou of them...the brass ones became useless(colloapsed and wouldnt return) and the steel one was to soft.I am going to see my locksmith buddy tommorrow and see if he has diferent spring rates"thumbsup"
