i was wondering if a traxxas 2056 servo a good waterproof servo for under 30 dollars for a scx10

Another vote for the Hitec 645MG. For a 1.9 rig it should last forever. I managed to strip out the gears in one after a year of heavy abuse in a 2.2 Axial. I have several others in go-fast bashers and have no problems in those applications.

Personally I don't like the Traxxas servos. The output shaft seems to develop play prematurely and the gears strip not long afterwards. I've killed seveal 2055 and 2056 in a variety of applications.

IMO don't get the hitecs or tower, IMO you'll be good with a very inexpensive servo from hobbypartz.com.

Servos are like 15 and the one I use has 200oz torque. So if you damage it from waterproofing or break it from water damage, it won't be so costly to replaxe

I did have their servo, not bad for $15, actually lasted for quite a while.

Yea, my cheap servo has out lasted my traxxas servo and still going strong. It's neato! I'm just slowly switching most of my servos over to hobbypartz since their cheap and actually have good quality for their price

also have ordered from a place called Enjoyhobbiez.com, they have a good cheap servo for $9.95 all metel gear 333oz. still using them now the only thing is they hum like a bastard, but other than that lots of torque, BEC is a must though."thumbsup"
