Is this a good deal

No thanks Ive herd from star members here that there are some shady deals going on lately

Do what you gotta do man. Just trying to save you some cash and grief. Did the members you've "herd" from tell you just to check the feedback section? Either way it's no skin off my back. But if Im looking to sell something for a premium, I sell it on Ebay. Not only does buying a star open up the classifieds section, but it also helps keep this site afloat. I can honestly say that I've had FAR more shady transactions from buying on Ebay than I have on here. But it's your deal, your money, my $0.02

I would trust members on here much more then most other sites. As long as it is a person with some history here, not a new 0 post person. Not to say that they would not be legit (0 poster). But someone with history here I would "assume" to be well into this stuff and not want to kill his/her use of the forum and have his name spread around as a bad guy. This is a smaller community and people get to know who wheels in their area from this forum.

Any ways, I am not sure I would pay the 800 for all of it. But There is a lot there. Some very small things need to be fixed. But those are more maintenance things that will go from time to time anyway. A decent SCX10 that is not to beat and has some upgrades like wheels/tires, decent body, some upgraded driveshafts and useable electronics seems to go for around 3-$400 bucks. That is usually without batteries, etc. So it may not be a bad deal if you are looking for a crawler and a scaler. But it is more of a just stock upgraded for the sake of upgrading comp rig. Not one built for all out performance. So your use of it will depend on whether you want to comp it or not. I would think maybe search some more for just one rig you want, unless you do want two?

I think a more fair price would be 6-$700 bucks. It does come with a decent radio and the only thing you would need is a charger. It would cost a lot more if you have nothing to get to the point of what you would get out of this deal. I do not know the extent of what you have (chargers, parts, tools, experience, etc). If you are new to it (I assume you are as you are asking about this deal in the first place) it may not be too bad "IF" you need two rigs. If not then I would suggest waiting a bit till you can get into the classifieds here. You will find a much better deal imho. Those rigs are nice, but nothing at all special. Good luch with your decision. Just make sure it is right for you. If you are new, I would hate to see someone lay out that cash and not be happy and turn them away from the sport. I love it and have been into it for a few years now (RC in general for most of my life). But I started into scalers/crawlers slow and it has worked out nice and I still enjoy it a ton. I literally have a spare bedroom with all of my scalers and planes and helis. I need more room for it all. But I choose what I want after some experience and research to make sure its what I want and need.
