Went down the discontinued Axial rabbit hole with leftover parts. Building an Exo Terra with Yeti cast offs, NOS, aftermarket and close other brand parts so I guess it'll be a DB Terra or Exo Pro...

Wanted to have a use for all the plastic parts I pulled off my #1 Yeti that was built with all Vanquish and SSD parts... but was stolen around Christmas. And subsequently Yeti #2 that I built the same to replace it. Unfortunately everything exo specific is discontinued from Axial and finding used stuff thats good is challenging so it'll be an Exo chassis/drivetrain with easier to find body

Would've been cheaper/easier to just buy a DB Pro roller but thats no fun... still a ways to go. Body and cage are a good fit though.

STRC main chassis
RPM F/R lower arms
GPM diff cups/outputs F/R
Axial HD Gears F/R 500k silicone in front diff
Lockedup RC lunchbox R Locker (if axles blow then open with 500k fluid)
Axial Center diff locker
GPM Alloy Trans mount/driveshafts
GPM F/R hubs
GPM axles

Need to draw up some chassis wings and rear shock tower to tie into the DB Pro hinge mount. Planning a 550 sized 3800kv brushless system on 3S.

Nice. I bought a used chassis years ago with no cage, put a Yeti front body mount in the back and ran an old f2fiddy body I had. It’s neat and fun with a big can motor.

Not terrible to tie the DB hinge to a yeti front shock tower in the rear front uses modified DB body posts on the front tower. Works really well.

Currently setup with locked rear/center diffs, front has 500k wt fluid. Still need to draw up some chassis wings with battery holder since the plastic Exo parts are long discontinued. Put some cast off electronics in to putt around and its cool. The flip up chassis is 1000% better than a factory Exo for wrenching. Super pleased with it.
