These Oil companies in Williston North Dakota are Hiring, Hiring, Hiring.

That is because North Dakota isn't a state.
Businesses could create jobs right now, but they aren't. For the past two years there hasn't been much growth, and its not because of taxes.
Damn welfare vermin.
How dare they take handouts from the government, there won't be any money left for the next big multi-trillion dollar bank bailout!
SO businesses should just create jobs for people that they really don't need because business is down? The businesses that are doing well and needing people are hiring. I own a business, should I just create jobs so people aren't on welfare?
That is Trickle Down Economics. "thumbsup"
Give money to rich business owners (tax breaks, incentives) so that they can hire people. Once hired, those people can take their paychecks and consume things. Consuming things keeps the economy going. Supposedly. On paper. Right now somebody isn't upholding their part of the deal...
Taxes for those making over $250k are the lowest they have been since the depression. Don't anybody even think of claiming that they aren't creating jobs because their tax rates are too high.![]()
How does a "tax break" give anyone anything?
All it does is let the people keep more of the money they worked to earn! I just don't understand this backward ass, Liberal, bullshit, mentality!:x
They aren't hiring because they are unsure of the economy, they aren't hiring because of the unknown cost of Obama-care, they aren't hiring because their taxes may be going up!
Reading stories like the above on CNN makes me disgusted when I see stories like the following:

Quit your job, have seven more kids and sign up with the government!
Seriously, the article says the guy had intentions of selling the food for a profit. He is now facing fraud charges....
My wife and I are in the early process of starting a small business, We're not starting it to provide jobs for others. We're starting it to better our place in life. IF we need to hire someone, then that will be a bonus. But it's not the reason for starting the business nor is providing jobs for others our responsibility.
Again, the Government isn't "giving" me anything. The lower taxes allow me to keep more of my money! If what they collect isn't enough, then just like our business, they need to figure out how to spend less and make what they have go further!
You can wonder all you wish, I know exactly what I'm doing and how to do it. I don't need some closet Lib to "Splain" it to me.
Listen closely, she said "I just want the best for my kids, and I can't do that without help."
She should have thought about that before she threw her legs up in the air and let Pedro fill her cum dumpster.
You keep talking about CEOs and big corporations.
I'm talking about small businesses who earn $250 thousand and up! They are responsible for over 50% of jobs in this country.
As a small business owner, are you prepared to hire for the sake of hiring? Do you wish to send more of your money to Washington so that someone who has been on welfare for 5+ years can go to the grocery store to purchase Lobsters? Do you think the Government can spend your money better than you can?
I say that no additional money(in the form of even higher taxes) needs to go to the Government until they can prove to me that they can handle it responsibly!
I don't see that happening anytime soon.
We've had this conversation before, but I guess we need to have it again.
The tax increase will apply to anything over the $250k mark. So if you bring home $260k you will pay the current rate on the first $250k, then an additional 3% on the remaining $10k. Its not a huge, life altering, job threatening, door closing jump for most small business owners.
Ha! I can barely afford the one employee I've got, which is me. I'd fire the prick but he's all I've got. :ror:
Of course I don't want to pay taxes so that some jobless fawk can eat better than I can. I don't know why you continue to insist that I'm an idiot.
What ever happened to the "approved" foods you could buy on gov't assistance? Did they just kick it wide open to allow everything but beer and wine?
You and I both know that it'll take forever to get any spending bills passed that will actually do any good. Until then, as a temporary measure, boost the taxes on the top earners. And by "top earners", I mean make a new damn tax bracket. Its completely insane to lump the billionaires in with the $250k folks.
It doesn't matter, It's an increase! It will close businesses that are are the brink, it will cost jobs, and for what? So some government ass clown can spend it on another worthless program?
I'll say it slowly for you. WE DON'T HAVE AN INCOME PROBLEM . WE HAVE A SPENDING PROBLEM.
So your statement that small businesses can hire people, but don't is incorrect.
It is insane, but Libs see the evil free market entrepreneurs who earn $250,000.00 as "top earners" and want to punish them for the unfairness of their "wealth".
IMO, taxes bases on income is arcane. The IRS needs to be scrapped(talk about savings!) and income tax needs to go the way of the dinosaur.
A National sales tax would be much fairer and efficient means as everyone would pay it. It would reach the black market economy that doesn't get taxed. We all know, that drug dealers love to buy grillz, and Dubs, and such. The Unio... I mean mobsters all love their second homes, expensive cars, "investment" properties etc... The rich who can afford it, spend more, so they would pay more. More importantly, the bottom 47% who don't pay shit would finally have some skin in the game.
Whether or not the small tax increase will hamper a business depends entirely on how much they're making. I kind of doubt it will, though if they can't afford to pay an extra $300 a year in taxes without making drastic cuts, then they're doing something wrong.
YES I AM WELL AWARE AND HAVE STATED REPEATEDLY THAT THERE IS A SPENDING PROBLEM. YOU NO LONGER HAVE TO BRING THIS POINT UP.
No, my statement was that I am the only employee and that I cannot fire myself, otherwise there would be no business to have.
Duuuuuuuude said:Businesses could create jobs right now, but they aren't. For the past two years there hasn't been much growth, and its not because of taxes.
I have been at the point where I considered hiring someone, but only because the workload was more than I could handle alone. Things have slowed down considerably since then. There is not enough demand or money for me to employ anyone.
The right waves the $250k flag just as hard, saying that they are the ones who will be hit the hardest with this increase. They won't be. Compare Joe Schmoe and his $300k income to Freddy Fatcat and his $10b income and tell me who will pay more...
The tax brackets need a serious overhaul to keep things in perspective, otherwise its really easy to skew the results.
Also agreed. Make the rich pay more for non-essentials. I like it. "thumbsup" :ror:
I feel the need to repeat it OFTEN as you seem to support the idea of throwing gasoline on the fire.
NO NEW TAXES "UNTIL" THE GOVERNMENT GETS IT'S SHIT TOGETHER. ONCE THAT HAPPENES, I CAN SEE A SMALL INCREASE ON THE UBER WEALTHY AS LONG AS IT GOES TO REDUCE THE DEBT.
As a small business, would a tax increase help you to hire someone?
Again, the w/ uncertainty in the economy, the cost of Obama-care, and tax increases are the reason most small business are not hiring. They are taking what little extra capital they have and stashing it away as a hedge against the unknown impact the damn government is going to have on their business in the near future.
It's a huge deal because they are being lumped together w/ Freddy! That's the point!
And don't forget the 47% of the freeloaders.
