J-Fish's Xr-10 build (first moa)

I know . . . i need to take pics i keep pitting it off. i will post some in the next few days as soon as i get my email account straightened out. havnt used it much over the past few yrars so i forgot my password. so do i need to order the spring retainers and the standoffs from crawler innovations or just the the retainers/cups for the 3.5" big bores? And should i order just the front mini t spring set or the rear too? Pink in front red in back right?

My Carbon Switch comes in at 4lb 13 ounces. That's with 6 ounces of knuckle weight overall.

Sweet. I wonder what mine will weigh? My traxxas big bores just came in today with the shock cap mod already done to them and my vp knuckles should be in later this week they were on backorder. Then Ima order the knuckle weights and try and get a rowdy front axle battery mount and electronics plate. Cant wait.

Ok im bout to switch over to my switch chassis. Been putting it off ever since I got it because I knew I probably wouldnt get to play with it for a while, until I got it all put back together. I took my axial knuckles off and installed my vp ones, now I gotta order a new tie rod from chaotic crawlers or I may try using jato rod ends on my current one. I have the one they make for the axial knuckles and its too short. I put together my vp slw wheels complete with crawler innovation foams and installed them. I also installed my traxxas big bores with mini t springs. Im waiting on my rowdy front axle batt mount to come in, should be this week sometime. As soon as they are back in stock ima order a rowdy racing motor mounted electronics plate but until then I may just mount it all in chassis. I desperately need some vp knuckle weights so ima order them asap as now I have no extra weight on the front end because the stock axial inner wheel mounted weights wont fit on my vp wheels. Then after all that ima order some custom graffix and maybe a stronger one for good measure, probably the hitec 7950 as I currently am still using the 7955 tg. I will take some pics and post them as soon as I get a chance, tonight hopefully.

You should take a trip to Knoxville this Saturday if you feel up to it. Several of us will be up there competing, and there will be a few XRs running around.

Yea I think me and my bro are gonna try and make it. My xr10 is in pieces well its mostly together except for the electronics. I need some help with them and I dont yet have a saudering iron. I will bring it either way and maybe I can get some help with it or atleast some suggestions. What time and where is it in k town?

My rowdy front axle battery mount just came in. Cant wait tio install it tomorrow when I get home from work. Still need to order longer tie rod from chaotic crawler, hanger 9 1.5" servo arm, vp knuckle weights, blue monkey electronics mount and then mount all my electronics in my new switch chassis. Then hopefully take it all out to northshore k town on saturday and watch the comp.

I finally ordered a couple new batteries, a hitec 7950 servo and some knuckle weights from rc bros. havnt got them yet but i did finnaly get my rr electronics plate, my longer servo horn, and now have my steering The way I want it. I get my crawler out for the first time yesterday with the new switch chassis, special links, ci foams, etc . . . loved it although it was super wet out from a recent rain so not much traction. plus I still don't have my knuckle weights in yet so it wanted to pick the front wheels up in a steep climb when i got traction that is. cant wait to try it out again but when its dry. Guess ima order some bigger hubs for my slw wheels. i want to have more tuning options for my rc bros wheel weights when they come in. Then I'm going to order a digital scale to use for tuning. Sorry I have been slacking off on my picturesi i will try and take many more this week

Finally got my rowdy electronics plate, rc bros wheel weights, 350 mah batteries , and my new servo horn in over the past few days so ima take some more pics this week. Cant wait to install it all and get it out on the rocks . . . Not in the rain I hope. Im sure the difference is going to be night and day. Now all im waiting on is my hitec 7950 servo to be delivere. Time to take off the 7955
