Jeep J12 Concept

Ive obviously been following this on GURUS, but just found it here! LOL:mrgreen:

This bodywork is awesome Donnie! I'd love to do a styrene body someday, but i'm afraid all the hard work will just get destroyed!

The pics you posted in the sunlight look great! I am now a believer in your color choice and cant wait to see it finished!"thumbsup"

Half the fun is driving your rig with constant "pucker factor" LOL!!

Here goes the next two changes from the 1:1, the first one being the extra lights in the front. Hoosierdaddy came up with the idea to loose the chrome disks in favor of smaller lights and I think it was a good call! You also may have noticed that I have left the visor off, instead of a visor I'm going with a vanquish lightbar and poison spider mounts (ignore the scotch tape lol)

I snapped this with the flash so you could tell that I hit the grill with alucad...problem being the clearcoat killed it. Not sure where it goes from here, I'll either cover it in foil or flat black it...I'll make my mind up later

Thanks! I appreciate it!

What wheels and tires are those? Look like pitbull growlers but....very wide lol.

They are 1.55 growlers stretched over 1.9s BUT everything under the frame rails in that pic will be replaced soon!

Man must be some wide 1.9s lol mine don't even come close to bring that wide. Can't wait to see what's next. Amazing work!

They are just the RC4WD dick cepecks, I think it's just stretching the pits that gives that look - thanks for the kind words!

Looks great Don. Lets see some more pics!

I don't have much to show, I'm just getting all the details back on it lol, thanks dude!

Looking good Donnie ! From my own experience with back lighting with LED's don't have the bulb point directly at the stickers or it will get a halo effect. I put a dab of black on the tip of the bulb but it then created a dark spot so maybe doing a light dab of white might work better. Or if anyone else has a great solution I'd like to hear it.

Great work so far. Cant wait to see this thing tearing up the trails.

Thanks man!

I hear ya on that one, I was thinking a box with the led aimed up and not pointing at anything...I'll play with it and find a solution that works. Thanks for stopping by Nick!

Ok so go easy on me here...I fail at painting but I got my gauges in and I cut a piece of lexan to cover the gauge cluster

Lights!! My phone camera won't pick it up but in person the details of the gauges and the nav screen shine through perfect! I may use a resistor or two to dim it some...I'll make that call once I see it in the sun

Looking good , I put resistors in mine to dim it and you can't tell its on with any lights on. But with it too bright on mine I couldn't make out my gauges. I'll haveto do my ggauge pod like yours next time without the direct light.

Looks so sweet. "thumbsup"
