I'm looking for a jeep TJ body. I've found lots of Jks and even Yjs for some reason but seem to have a hard timr finding TJs. There are several on eBay, but are all 1/10 th which I'm told that size is more expensive to build? Any answers would be appreciated, I'm brand new to all of this but would really like to get into it

Under 200 is somewhat unrealistic imo, at least for a newbie, but if you can get a good deal on the base crawler it's possible, I would try to get something used, maybe an everest gen7 or an OG scx10.

I've actually been researching non stop since I posted this and I had wondered if a revell could work. Would definitely be more in my price range, probably not as fancy as the bigger ones everyone seems to like. The question I had with that, would the Jeep wheelbase be too short for that barrage pickup? I really don't see any reason why it wouldn't work otherwise.

I'll try to measure the wheelbase tomorrow, but as long as it's not reeeaaallly far off, you can shorten/lengthen the crawler's wheelbase by simply making new suspension links. I put a 1/18 scale RZR body on a 1/24 ECX Temper without much work, but would have preferred the C-channel chassis of the Barrage platform if I were building a Jeep/truck.

Take a look through the picture archive in the micro section here, you'll see lots of similar builds/body grafts.

After researching and watching videos for the last couple of days I think I may give this a try Maisto 1/18 body on a rc4wd chassis. Little more out of the price range I was hoping for, but I think closer to what I actually want. After watching videos for the barrage it looked like it might be a little too high gear I want something that will crawl a little better, and I think I will like the body better too.
