Kaetwo's Tekin FX-R Review...

The FXR has its own bec but if you use a high torque servo for steering the internal bec won't handle the load and the fxr will thermal and shut down.

You have to run an external bec with the big servos

The guys are right. On 3s with a high torque servo you really should have a seperate BEC. It will work but as you found if you bind it all up it will "amp out" and overheat the BEC. The light sequence you're seeing is the onboard temp indication saying that you're up to 5 led's hot whch is another indicator of an overworked bec.

Time to put a seperate BEC in there for the steering servo to eat off of.

Sweet guys-- thanks!!!"thumbsup"

Randy -- thanks for the email backup! "thumbsup"

a BEC it will be...

By the way, isn't the 2075 servo 'only' about 100 oz.? Well, either way, I'm glad it will be an easy fix. :)

I have a Question:

I am on the fence on going with the FXR or a Mamba.

I see there in the first post you have the ESC next to a crystal receiver. What radio interference is there if I use a Tq3 radio 27mhz ?
I was told there a lot of glitches, is this true
I will eventually use a 2.4 system but right now I working on cash for a ESC for my berg.

I already have and love my Mamba and monster.

Thank you

IT really depends on setup if you get glitching or not. I've ran the FXR along with an old Futaba radio I had and it was fine. I think a lot of it has to do with layout on the chassis. Keep the esc away from the receiver whenever possible.

This is what i have done with my FXR:mrgreen:
