Ken Block Tank?

I installed a set of those on a Chevy Blazer for a guy when I worked at Big-O tires a few years ago and the whole time I was thinking how the heck is he gonna get this thing back up the mountain to his place??? He showed up to pay and he just drove away like it was no big deal!! Was pretty funny seeing a K5 rolling tracks on the dry road.

Yea, those are not custom built, you can buy them. They ain't cheap though. And they are steering box/linkage slayers if you don't keep them strictly on snow.

I've seen a couple of the uber-rich folks around Park City UT sporting those units, they do roll down dry pavement pretty decently. But it's stupid rich-boy he-who-dies-with-the-most-toys-wins overkill IMO. You could put 2-4" of lift and some decent tires on on your pretty painted, chromed-out H2 for far less $$, and have very close to 100% of the capablity of these track units. And not have to pay a shop to remove them for you when mud season rolls around...

kinda cool, but to me it looks like one of those great ideas that should have stayed on paper.

although, it says more to come, so i imagine once the crew starts to setup the car with individual wheel/ track braking things will improve.
till then it's going to be sloshy and sloppy at best.

a whole new meaning to the word " drifting "
take that ricers !

I think that is badass!
I would rather have it with tires on it, but I wont be to picky.:)

He has bank, its simple. And instead of a Lambo he wanted a Subaru that would work in his native Utah. He was once a big time snowboarder...

not to mention, he helped start DC shoes and was part owner of the company. a few of my friends know him personally. my buddy Jon works for DC and is a retired pro snowboarder. i got to meet ken @ the wellsborough rally. he let me snap pics of the inside of his rally car. Seemed pretty down to earth and yea he has dough in the bank for sure.

its got a vermont plate on it! home state ride!
BAD ASS!
Here in out small town we have one stage of the us rally and when all the drivers were in one of the hotels Travis Pastrana had a subaru wrx with Vermont plates that wasn't his rally ride but a daily driver.

You guys realize the Vermont plates are because Vermont SportsCar is the one turning the stock STi's into Rally machines right?
