Gotta give props to him. He tore it up out there. Great job Shannon. "thumbsup"

I like Shannon, but just like when Ricky Carmichael was racing motocross and supercross....it's nice to see someone else win every once in a while.

Casey Currie in second place, in a car Shannon and his crew built and his brother Nick was codriving...

Campbell Ent 1st and 2nd place...

It was a blast. I was out there for support of the race, and support of Local XJ rock crawler Richard Gauthier. Richard built a buggy out of an XJ (that's a cherokee for non jeepers.) about a year ago. Friends of mine have been spinning wrenches on his rig for the last month up in Bakersfield getting him ready. This is a complete garage built budget buggy. Richard has been running the Hammers for years and is an outstanding driver. He broke a driveshaft and was down for an hour at the bottom of Jack, had 14 rigs pass him, then climbed back into 7th overall. He caught and passed Bulloch by Means Butte over the last few miles. Thursday night we were looking at all the high dollar rigs and thinking man, what did Goatman get himself into...
Then afterwards, we were just blown away that he pulled it off, even with an hour downtime for a broken rear driveshaft and locker airline that melted.
As for myself I found some nice crawling rocks and stripped out the stock servo horn on my AX10 while we were on post for filming, then on saturday I bent the tierod on my XJ going up clawhammer. They completely tore claw up, it's way harder than it was back in Nov.... Lots of fun...
